If the artwork is the AOTD promo picture,I disagree because this holds the episode where Amy and Rory leave, so you should focus on that.

I hope the (yet to be confirmed) artwork shown on Play and Amazon is the real one. Although I don’t plan to buy this DVD, I think it would look really nice if it were the cover.

And for those wondering what the artwork is, it’s the Asylum of the Daleks promo image. 🙂

The Cotor, the Widow and the Wardrobe isn’t the part of any series as far as the production team are concerned but is a part of this upcoming series with the BBC, so nobody knows how BBC Worldwide are going to count it.

This years special should be a part of it, after all it is just episode 6 really, but broadcast at Christmas. Some places are mentioning Part 2 but not a DVD for the special so it is likely that episode 6 will be thrown in with the eight 2013 episodes.

Same here, I reckon if the released them volume by volume, then more effort would be put into the covers in order to make them more attractive. I thought the covers for series 6 part 1A and part 1B were awfully dull.

    • Anonymous

      July 27th, 2012 - 7:51pm

Because not that many peope want to buy it like that any more.

Many just wait for the series box set now, so releasing it in chunks but not really small ones means the episodes get out but they aren’t cutting back as much as they might do with smaller sets.

Whats wrong with the series box sets? i prefer them to spliting up the series in 2/3/4/5 releases

  • Radburn

    July 27th, 2012 - 3:58pm

Unbelievable! I presume they will shove the Xmas Special on with the 5 episodes to be shown (Stick on a couple of Special Features to pad it out!) & voila – £17.99p please. I think not – I’ll wait until the full boxset is out. This rip-off factor is starting to get tiresome.

You DO realise these things go down in price, 17.99 is just the retail price. ❗

    • Radburn

      July 27th, 2012 - 10:34pm

It’s not worth even £10. Wait for the boxset with ALL the Special Features!

    • YEO

      July 28th, 2012 - 6:09pm

But surely whats the point in waiting for all the special features? Surely the main chunk of special features was the dr who confidentials and thats gone now so whats the point? I know very little about the box sets so please correct me if thats not the case 🙂

It’s not for Christmas buying, its actually to avoid the Christmas buying, because the shops always get swamped in December, so if you release it in November when people still have money the sales are better.

I’ll wait for the complete Series 7 at the end of the- WAIT! No! There won’t be a complete set at the end of the year. 🙁 But I’m sure it’ll be out this time next year. 🙂
