Geelong based, Ikon Collectables, have just released an Australian first, Doctor Who Retro Jigsaw Puzzle line.

These Doctor Who jigsaws are the start of a long line of retro Doctor Who products planned for release by the Australian company.

Ikon are a family owned business that have been in the “collectables” and “pop culture” industry for 18 years now and have a good grip on brands that have longevity.

Spokesman for the company, Ash Howard, says we are trying to give something back to the fans of Doctor Who that have endured the numerous Doctor changes and have followed the show throughout it’s 48 year history. It is great working with brands that have transcended generations as the appeal extends to such a wide audience, although designing products to suit such a wide audience does have it’s challenges!

Ikon Product Designer, Adam Henderson, is quietly chuffed about the line, having a comic-style look to the product. “All the staff here at Ikon have been making the jigsaws over the past few weeks on our lunch breaks and they have proved to be quite challenging for some staff members!”

Is there going to be any Doctor Who Events this year, and how do you find out when they film the show?
