Why do the sonic screwdrivers look so much different from eachother with the 11th and 12th?

I doubt it, they are still in the concept stage, none would have been buit or boxed, more than likely a custom, these are even out till April, 6 months away.

      October 14th, 2014 - 10:28am

      they are customs i think

as far as i am aware there are no images of the actual figures yet

Wow! That’s weird, just the other day I was thinking they should do Doctor Who Funkos, I guess I can predict the future! 🙂

Tese will be a great addition to my collection, I only started getting these things a few months ago and have about 21 at the moment!

Definitely will purchase a Seventh Doctor one! I’ve always liked the figures, but never seen one of a character I love enough to have on my shelf.

I have been tempted with a couple Game of Thrones ones though…

Decided to start a mini Funko collection of my favourite characters. Planning to get, like, one or two from each of the things I am a fan of, and then some Who ones when they’re released.

    A competitor for Titans perhaps?
These look really nice though since I only have 4 Titans, I may as well carry on trying to collect those (wish they were more widely available 🙄 )
These designs don’t really appeal to me anyway.
Oh well, back to watching American unboxing’s of the new titans… 🙁

I would never call these competitors, they are very different. Different sizes, different collect-ability factors, Funko Pop have their own design elements that make their figures really rather unique.

People can pick these figures, they aren’t blind boxed. And they are much bigger than the normal sized Titan figure.

Just because they are both ‘Vinyl Figures’ does not mean they compete. That’s like saying the Character Building Figures compete with the Action figure range.

They’re competitors for me – I’m going to choose between getting these or continuing with Titans 🙂

if the quality of these is anything like the ghostbusters ones I got in the last few days from amazon and had to send back then think I will pass on these and stick with the titans.
egon had rays body and the proton stick was missing. ray had paints of it been missed painted, the neck was still grey. his proton stick had broken in half. peters hand was coming off and Winston had silver paint all over the back of his head so wasn’t impressed at all

Finally! I don’t have any Funko pops because I only collect Doctor Who toys (well, I wouldn’t say no to a FP Rocketeer or Robocop…), but I love their clean and cute designs so here is my chance. I want all the Doctors!

no, it is not awful, it’s a style that you can like or dislike but from a design standpoint these are very good figures. Comparing to these to Harrops is like comparing …I don’t know, Gravity Falls to Nolan’s Dark knight.

Dislike ’em nothing-I hate ’em…theyre horrible…The titan figures are amusing as caricatures

Comparing these to harrops is like comparing doctor who to eastenders, both completely different things.

To be honest…besides a Classic Monsters and 12th Doctor set, I’m not sure what else Titans can do with their range….

It wouldn’t surprise me if Titans licence comes to an end around the time Funko start producing their stuff.

Lets hope Funko look after their UK customers better than Titans did.

Funko are about a £1 more expensive per figure, but the figures are bigger and they are not blind boxed…so worth the extra money in my opinion…and their are more opportunities for crossovers.

      Don’t know to be honest

They are obviously a very strong brand

I dont know these people at all (although they are the same as many others who cant be bothered to reply to emails)

Does the States get Funko Products weeks (or months) ahead of the UK as well?

I thought they were going to do a series for every doctor 🙁

Would be a shame if these killed off the Titans, I think the Titans have a much nicer style.

      October 13th, 2014 - 11:34am

      I agree

These pops are not my thing but quite happy to buy titans

    • Anonymous

      October 13th, 2014 - 12:22pm

I agree, Titans look better… its weird that the brands who develop very generic head sculpts for their figures like Lego and Funko are so popular when far less effort goes into making their figures look like the character than Titans and Character Building.

    • booboo

      October 13th, 2014 - 12:24pm

I prefer CB figures by a mile over lego however i think lego sets would be better and higher quality

    • Gumbo

      October 14th, 2014 - 1:26am

The states get all the exclusives, hot topic, Barnes and noble, and almost all the cons have exclusives too, its extremely hard to get pop vinyls here, unless you buy from forbidden planet or attend cons, but high chance that if an exclusive is released (metallic paint) or a chase figure, it won’t be over here in the UK

  • Anonymous

    October 13th, 2014 - 10:30am

Something that may force Titans to get their act together…a vinyl figure competitor whi will “hopefully” meet customer expectations and deliver the goods when they say they will.

I see this as the end of the Titan range….which is a shame because I like them…but they care not a jot about their UK customers so I hope Funko blow them out the water.
