I think the news item should be revised as this isn’t a download, but simply an online version like you get with Google books. I suppose someone could make a PDF out of it using screen captures but that’s a bit too much effort.

      Hi,

The book can be downloaded from Issuu as a PDF. I’m not totally sure but you may need to join the site to download it.
Otherwise you can view it in the Issuu browser. It would cost money to host the book as a direct download as a PDF. I tried this and demand exceeded the traffic limit on the download and caused it to have a dizzy fit. As the book is free I cannot really justify monthly hosting costs.

I hope you enjoy the book in whatever format you able to view it in. 🙂

      Regards,

      J

Strangely I think my favourite custom is actually the Kaled soldier. I’d be very interested to know how you made them.

    Hey everyone,

The book is finally finished – hurrah! At the moment it is awaiting a final review from the editorial team to make sure that there are no last minute text errors and that the formatting is as good as possible.

I will be releasing the book on Tuesday afternoon (17-12-13). It will probably up for download by early evening time (UK).

I hope that you enjoy the book. The download is FREE and a lot of work and effort went into its creation. There will be a donation link in the book to my chosen charity – Cancer Reseach.

The link has broken due to an excessive amount of traffic. Hmmm… I need to rethink this. Sorry for the problem and I hope that some of you got to see it!
I will have to find a new way to host the book.

Only fragments. The book is way more than just those images. The demand was very high and the link broke. We’re working on a solution.

Liz Shaw, the Jo Grant on the console room, the console and Bessie are customs. Close up of Jo is the released figure. The Wirrn is a custom (it’s incredible).

    Hello

The book has been created by Jay Gunn and features entries by other contributors who will be referenced in the ending of the book. The book uses released and custom figures, set in dioramas.

The book is free, but the contributors would appreciate a donation to a cancer charity if those who read and enjoy the book are willing to oblige.

The book has been complied by a man who has incredible art direction skills and it will be simply stunning!

Hi: can’t wait for this to come out, it looks absolutely terrific and, complete with diamond logo on the pages, hits the perfect note of nostalgia! Don’t take this the wrong way, but before its release, could you make use of any free proof-reading? No obligation to act on my findings; but as a Graphics teacher, I see the impact/authority of strong artwork weakened daily by stuff Spellcheck didn’t pick up. Few here to see, but it would be a pity if any crept into this superb project (is “volvanic” eruption correct?) I’d need bigger scans though!

Thanks for the offer, it is very appreciated! I have a couple of proof readers who have been going through the text. Those pages samples were early test images and not proof read (probably should have been). I was too eager to get the word out about the project. 🙂

Unfortunately due to my PC dying over Christmas (great timing) it has delayed the project for a few weeks as I get everything back up and running again. Thankfully most of the pages were finished but the final edit and formatting takes a very long time.
