Seeds of Doom Set Arriving
23/03/2012 The Doctor Who Seeds of Doom Set containing The Krynoid and 4th Doctor is now Arriving In Forbidden Planet Stores and stock is being sent out to those who pre ordered it.
21/11/2011 Arthur Darvill (Rory) and said on the live Q&A section at this years DVD signing that he has “only Just Seen His figure”. At least we know one is now very possibly on its way.
12/11/2011 In case you hadn’t noticed there are now direct links to the user collection pictures, reviews (a lot more of these coming) and lists. You can find them on the right of the merchandise home page below the “latest updates” box in “Areas of Interest”

November 28th, 2011 - 11:35amIt may be a while, with the 6th Series having been split in two, the waves for Series 6 are said to be continuing up into february, POSSIBLY. 🙂
I certainly hope so, because at this rate, we won’t have the Doctor in Longcoat, Amy pond from Day of the Moon, Madam Kovarian, Dorium Maldover Headless Monks or any other important characters from the Sixth Series !
What we’re getting is an endless wave of Cybers and Silents, which are great figures but this is not COOL if we aren’t getting any new characters.

The one with electric hands is a bit of a pointless variant I think, because we’re already getting the Limb and face damage Cybermen with the electric so we don’t need another one ! ❗

I hope the ‘sub wave’ are differential enough to get a seperate listing on Character Online. I’m currently having a very hard time finding anything new for sale locally in Australia. (The ABC stores are full of DW stuff… but it’s all the ‘same’ stuff over and over… my local store just got the 2011 Christmas gift set… again… and more pandorica figures… again…)
Anyways, I’m mostly after the Silent from this sub-wave.

I’m also in Aus and am having the same problem. I don’t think this wave has been released in Australia yet(neither has the one before as I haven’t seen any Peg Dolls anywhere). Also, have you seen the six figure set anywhere ?

November 28th, 2011 - 3:29amThey’ll do ‘every single variant possible’ regardless of Rory… and when Rory comes out… we’ll get ‘every single variant possible’ of Rory lol. 😛 Probably.
Don’t worry too much about these ‘variants’ taking away from brand new figures. They pad out the waves and bring in more income for CO to make more figures. But yeah… if you’re a completionist, you’d be going batty right now.
Living in Australia, I haven’t been able to afford to import the classic exclusives either, and have had little luck with getting variants in store.

Normally it’s possible to tell if it’s the same person by how they “talk”, what they discuss and what their likes are. It’s very hard to describe but occassional mistakes are bound to be made when assuming it’s one person.

November 22nd, 2011 - 2:30pmWhat I want to know is why didn’t Character originally want a Rory figure! hey brought out a figure of ‘Uncle’ for Lord’s sake, so they really can’t say they thought, at the time, he was too much of a minor character. They constantly bring out figures of ‘one-episode’ people and monsters…Rory is now one of the main characters! There again, they took ages bringing out River Song: maybe they’re just not that fussed about companions. We haven’t had many classic companions either…

November 22nd, 2011 - 5:18pmThey were not ages in releasing a River Song, one came out back in 2008 so you can understand their caution about if releasing a variant was a good idea as people already had one.
But with Rory, it was just that they couldn’t be bothered spending the money on it until they were told to by Moffat.
