An unabridged reading of this exciting novelisation of a classic adventure for the Fifth Doctor.

To avoid the fatal impact of a head-on collision in space, the TARDIS materialises on board an alien spacecraft. Currently in orbit around Earth, the space liner seems eerily deserted.

What a great cover. I love the story, and judging by his Big Finish work, Mark Strickson will be excellent.

That really is a superb finished art . Sometimes when the Target range, has Had to use NEW work, its not always successful.

    This is very Successful.

I really love the cover – such a shame the original novelisation didn’t have this on the front!

I agree, we had all those awful bland photo covers.

Mark Strickson as reader would be cool (his reading of The King’s Demons was excellent). Though I wouldn’t mind David Collings, who played Mawdryn. His reading of Corpse Marker was also excellent.
Either way Mawdryn Undead is a grossly underrated story and the Target telling (from memory) was pretty good so looking forward to this one.

Looking forward to this immensely – but May 2018 … Long time to wait!

Great story, made special by the role of B-LS.

Mawdryn Undead is a great story on TV though I haven’t actually read the Target Novel for it, it should be really interesting to see how it turns out, I wonder who will be doing the narration I really hope it will be Mark Strickson because he’s a great voice actor.

The Target book of MU for me was immensely enjoyable and one I couldn’t put down. When I read it, I’d not seen the story since TX in 1983 so about 11 years – the pictures in my minds eye brought it all back.

I agree, if Mark Strickson voices it, we shall have been treated indeed.
