I was in FP Liverpool today and they had these. Not impressed. The gun has only six rods on it where it should have eight. The neck rings should get smaller as they go up.
Here is a photo of them.

It occurs to me as a potential buyer that people who’ve purchased might kindly consider sending in some pics Booboo – especially showing off these quality issues perhaps or alternatively how good their daleks look??

Yes, I agree, I really would like to see what this would actually look like in person or even in photo, as I don’t think an animated image gives me a good idea of what it looks like! 🙂

I just received these this morning. Shocking quality.

The genesis one arrived with the gun broken and the head is completely off centre.

The gold one isn’t even gold ! Should it look like the picture on the box ? As mine is more silvery brown and has a black grille. Anyone else have a gold one and is it gold ?

Thanks Kevin. Very odd that the paint scheme is completely wrong. I guess I’ll send them back then.

Anyone else had broken guns on arrival? Both Daleks arrived with the guns in bits. Pretty poor design and really flimsy. I’m hoping the replacements I get are not damaged too.

Mine were both fine, the only irritation I have is with the Genesis Dalek, the sucker arm is too loose where as the eye stalk slot is too tight. lol 🙂

no the page has just not updated i think, this often happens.

if you look at the full page the “in stock” box is ticked and they are showing up so they are actually in stock.

Is rather impressive….. but so much merchandise I want out or out soon….Been waiting for the Titan bust of Spock for a couple of years now I think, that’s supposed to be due out soon and I’m collecting the busts based on Adam West’s Batman – Pengy’s due out anytime …….and I still have to get Riddler…More Harrops next month and not just Dr Who…. space and money the two things the collector always needs more of….

I got this weeks ago and it’s probably the only Dalek in my collection of 100’s that is 100% accurate without any flaws what so ever! 🙂

I thought they hadn’t been released yet when I saw them as they weren’t on this website or on Forbidden Planet or anything so I was amazed when I saw one of each in FB Newcastle so I had to get one! They must of got them early but it was more than two weeks ago now! 🙂

Got all three last week (in Australia) and loved the Eccleston Doctor bust – just beautiful. A crisp sculpt with lovely clean paintwork.

The Daleks are also sculpted well – the paint is great, bar the grill around the “neck” lots of bleeding. The major issue is the strange way the articulation works for the head – it swivels around very erratically and when looking from above it does not move evenly – really disappointing.

Just got the gold one today myself. Got it from an ebay shop new. Its a great sculpt but Mine has the same issue with the head. Looks uneven from above and doesn’t turn very easily. I have the grey one on the way too and will be a bit disappointed if its the same.

I’ve just received both the grey and the gold Daleks….bad news, they both have the same problem with the head.

So glad this is the first actually accurate Day Taskforce Commander. Character gave the figures a black neck grill rather than the accurate gold. This looks like it’s gonna be a must buy, been waiting for it to be stocked for a while!

Ryan and cyberman6, where does your information on this Dalek being a “Taskforce Commander” come from? To me it’s either known as the Gold Dalek or Supreme Dalek.

Well, it’s my dad’s favorite, and I have to admit it’s a great one. Even if the Daleks are only there for a minute or two, it’s still great to see them teaming up with the Master, also the Draconians are great.

The Gold Dalek in Frontier in Space was slightly different to the one in Day of the Daleks.

The above information should also note that the prop did return for a 2nd and final appearance in the classic series in ‘Frontier in Space’ as either the same or another gold command Dalek.
