Episode 12 has been titled “The Doctor Falls” and in a interview in this magazine it said that they were filming scenes for the finale on a rooftop with peter capaldi and Michelle gomez. So maybe the doctor litteraly falls – and dies? Then he would begin to regenerate but the regeneration only fully occurs in the Christmas special this year

No sign of this issue in my local Asda. They still have the previous issue on the shelf.

It’s actually alright. It has a promo picture of Bill on a background that vaguely reminds me of the 70s special issue.

Hold on, do we even know the titles of the first three episodes yet? I hadn’t heard anything. I always love DWM at this time of year

Wasn’t ‘Thin Ice’ the title of a Big Finish Doctor Who audio story by Marc Platt, and featured the Ice Warriors?

Might be one of those Wikipedia situations where its “click here for thin ice (TV story)” or “click here for thin ice (audio story)”

The thin ice your referring to was one of the lost/ unmade stories that would have been considered had the show made it into the 1990s. Available on big finish as you mentioned by marc platt. Good title.
