Doctor Who Magazine Issue 439

Doctor Who Magazine Issue 439

Doctor Who Magazine 439 previews the astonishing climax to the current series, THE WEDDING OF RIVER SONG, and interviews star Alex Kingston (River Song) about her forthcoming nuptials…

“Towards the end of this episode, we have one of the most exciting sequences we’ve ever done,” Alex reveals. “While this battle is going on, there are scenes between the Doctor, River, Amy and Rory where the final jigsaw pieces are put in place.

Um…” She’s choosing her words carefully now. “Let’s put it this way: there’s a big revelation about River, and River gets a big revelation about the Doctor…”

I thought the Doctor was looking a bit unhappy here, didn’t like his cover image, I’m used to better.

Then again, you cuold cut him some slack he’s going to his death. (have yet to see the Series-Finale may get to see it tonight but if not then the weekend is the soonest I can) ! 😯

Really enjoying this issue it’s a great read with it’s many previews for the exciting stuff that’s coming out this year (The brilliant Book 2012, and the 8th Doctor Audio adventures with Marry Shelley) 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Sure thing, Caan. The reason I haven’t seen it is because I was occupied that whole weekend, we have it recorded on my dad’s sky planner on BBC 1 HD, so I have to be at his house to see it.

So that’s the reason why. I live in the Uk yes, so it WAS on saturday night but I didn’t get to see it till Tuesday. (enjoyed it massively) 😉

IDW get it just yet, because it usually takes me no more than a week to read through the whole magazine, so I want to give it atleast another week. Maybe more.

Plus there are likely to be spoilers for the next two episodes. :/

If the Doctor marries River, wouldn’t that make Amy his mother-in-law and Rory his father-in-law? Even though he’s older than them both?

Actually Rory and Amy are older than him. Not physically but mentally the two of them have existed for 1917 years each (although Amy did spend most of it in suspended animation).

YES!! I really hope so, but the chances are she won’t :(, as Alex Kingston actually lives in america and has a daughter, but i really hope she does 😀 (sorry!)
At least the doc doesnt die coz Matt Smith has already signed the contract 4 series 7 ages ago!

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2011 - 2:59pm

River’s never going to become a full time companion just because of the nature of her character, both the Doctor and River hold too much fore knowledge on each other so it could be dangerous if she does.

However, she is coming back next year at some point, and can come back for as long as she likes however due to her nature.

What stops her being a full time companion allows her to potentially be on the show forever.
