Doctor Who London Excel Convention Pictures

Doctor Who London Excel Convention Pictures

With thanks to BBC Worldwide

As I’m sure you all know the official Doctor Who 50th anniversary Convention took place over the weekend. Below are a selection of images from the event.

Merchandise wise on sale from Sunday at the event was “The other Doctor’s” Sonic screwdriver from underground toys. They also had on show an Oswin Plush.

Making a surprise appearance was a 5″ Holographic 10th Doctor which is exclusive to the (extremely busy) BBC Shop. They were also selling loose 10th doctor Sonic screwdrivers.

Also on show was a Union Flag full size Dalek.

Eaglemoss had many of the figurine collection at their stand including the Slitheen which looked superb.

Forbidden Planet had the special weapons Dalek and most of the new Titan Vinyl’s.

The New Zealand mint coins looked Fantastic

Did you spot us? Luke was wearing the highly recommended Lovarzi 7th Doctor Jumper. We were lucky to meet Sophie Aldred (Ace) the 7th Doctors companion at the Stamp Centre stand. View our photos from the event below.

brilliant event, my son and I went on the Saturday(he was dressed as a cyberman), unfortunately we missed the eleventh hour panel and some autograph signings due to my son having a seizure. I would like to say thank you to every one who helped us (audience, staff and medics)you were truly wonderful and although we missed some we were very lucky to be let back in(after my son had rested for a couple of hours) to have a photo in the tardis, he has made a good recovery so a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped. The event was still amazing x

An excellent event. Carol Ann Ford and Wiiliam Russell were great to hear, as was Tom Baker when he was joined by the other 3 classic doctors

Some nice pics there….. brings it all back! (I was there Friday & Sunday.) I can’t remember a more exciting time to be a Who fan, than last week, after the wealth of TV, radio, press and magazine coverage…. all culminating in a spectacular weekend!!
Despite the forthcoming Christmas special and Capaldi’s debut series, it’s going to be a long time before we ever have it so good, again!

It was a fantastic day! I was there on the 23rd but couldn’t stop for the screening of the episode.

I bought the Cyberman Maxi Bust from the FP stand. Met Nicholas Briggs and got a photo with him, and in the TARDIS console room 🙂

Big Chief ran out of those 100 limited 10th Dr dolls pretty quickly (Only selling 25 per day to make it fair) as I enquired about them. Wasn’t sure to get one or not. Think I might have done if they had some left, they did look pretty fantastic!

we did, i was very impressed by it all although i thing you needed 2 days if you were going to do everything on offer

What was good to see was the amount of Classic stuff on display as well as “Mr Smith”, Sarah Jane’s cars and the Torchwood entrance
