Can you take the base of the cyberman figure and use it as a minifigure?

Shame the Dalek is a vehicle and not a playable character… kids would have a real good laugh just to own Batman, Homer Simpson or Doc Brown by exterminating them. I could just picture that now… “I’m Batmaaaaaaaaaaaaa…”, “EX-TERMIN-ATE!”. but on the plus side if you’re the second Doctor after regenerating in the game you would be able to re-enact the “Daleks playing trains” from Evil of the Daleks

There aren’t any ingame extras with this, are there? If not, its slightly overpriced, and i planned to buy a couple of these for (small) army building but worried about the cost.

People seem to forget that these figures are actually game pieces. If anyone who has watched the Trailers will know, once placed onto the gameboard they become inserted into the action onscreen in the game itself. LEGO has always been more expensive & I expected this sort of price for game pieces.

To those of you defending the dalek, yes they are made for the game mainly, but however, lots of people have said that lego daleks just do not work. It genuinely looks like someone took the spare parts of polybag sets and got bored, so created a dalek. Davros would certainly not approve lol

Lego doesn’t do specifically molded parts if they can avoid it. The doctor got his sonic because they needed it and his hair because it matched other characters. The cybermen they probably couldn’t get to look right and keep it in scale. They dalek looks half decent and much better than most people’s designs for daleks which typically involve modified pieces or they are out of scale. Let’s be honest here most people buy lego minifigures for pieces they can’t find not the actual figure so they had to come up with a way to market this to people.

In defence of the Dalek, the character building Daleks looked better because they sculpted new pieces, but that meant that these pieces could only really be used to make Daleks, and yeah maybe Lego could have done that but to me Lego has always been about making things from lots of pieces, not just very specific pieces designed for one purpose.

In making a Dalek this way it does lose some of it’s design but it’s still recognisable as a Dalek and it enables kids and grown ups with tons of Lego pieces and spares to copy the plans to make their own Daleks.

Yeah you could go out and buy lots of packs of CB Daleks, but then that’s all the pieces are good for, at least with Lego you can use the pieces for other things!
When I was young playing with Lego I once made a DeLorean out of coloured pieces, but I didn’t care because in my mind it still looked like the DeLorean, and I was slightly disappointed with the design of the real Lego DeLorean released a year or so ago but this is Lego, yes adults can play with it too but it’s aimed at kids, in this case 7-14 year olds who, lets be honest probably wouldn’t care what it looked like as long as it was recognisable as the character they know…and personally I think this Dalek ticks that box extremely well!

For everyone who is complaining about the Dalek, it looks like that because in the game it is a vehicle, not a playable character, it is like that so it can be taken apart and remade in 2 additional ways, because every vehicle in the game can be made a total of 3 different ways. This is also true for the TARDIS and K-9 in the level pack

The Character Building stuff was cheap, tacky rubbish. The LEGO stuff is proper building blocks/minifigures.

Yes the bright plastic they found was much better than the new series color for the new series dalek

The dalek probably looks like that because it is a vehicle so it can be rebuilt if you look at all the other fun packs they include a character and a vehicle so the dalek does not have a proper sculpt because it is not a proper character in the and can probably only be used if another character is riding it just like K9
