Yes it’s the final seventh doctor story along with the various past doctor stories that led up to it. I think there may be enough remaining past doctor material after this for one more volume. I’d love to see the backup strips released as well, maybe over two volumes? Oh, and age of chaos would be great to get in this format as well

The way I see it, they will release Ground Zero, and that about wraps up the back catalog of DWM main strips. But there is a good chance the back-ups get attached to some volume down the line. As I believe Panini has the rights to all classic TV Comic, TV Century 21, and Countdown/TV Action stuff as well, I see them continuing their releases with that old stuff as well, especially to keep this line going flipping the scheduled releases between Modern Doctor and Classic Doctor.

There are still Summer/Spring/Winter Special comics that need released, as well as a couple more Yearbook strips, as well as the back-ups.

I would guess that the Seasonal Special stuff would be released as headliners with back-ups to fill up some books, as they seem to like to keep black and white and color stories separate when possible.

Then throw in those Color Yearbook stories with “The Last Word” which was released in DWM as a 10th Anniversary of the Virgin books, and in color. And anything else they can scrounge up.

I wouldn’t be suprised if they remastered and re-released the Dalek Chronicles and threw in the “Return of the Elders” story, along with maybe the lone early Dalek back-up story from the debut of DWM. Just one big Dalek book.

But I can easily see how they might break up the TV Comic stories from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Doctors. You can divide the First Doctor’s run into three distinct volumes, as there were three main artists that drew the strips, so each period of his run has it’s own look.

At any rate, I see a lot of potential to keep there back catalog releases going for years even as they wrap up the strips that ran in DWM.

They also own the rights to DWA comics, so that’s nearly 400 issues’ worth of comics there. I’d love to see the Battles in Time strips collected too, although I don’t think they have the rights for them, but I bet they could get them if they wanted.

I think there’s enough Past Doctor stories from various specials, yearbooks and occasionally the main issue for us to get a second volume of that, hopefully based around The Man in the Ion Mask.

After that, I agree that the back-up strips and the Polystyle stuff could come along.I did a vague mapping at one point and divided up the Second Doctor TV Comic stories into four volumes (roughly amounting to the Dalek, Cyberman, Quark and Exile eras), the Third Doctor into six and the pre-DWM Fourth Doctor stuff into four.
