Limited edition of the trusty companion of both 4th and later Doctor’s assistant Sarah Jane Smith. K-9 was made by Professor Marius in the year 5000 – he then went on to travel with the 4th Doctor and Leela. As far as we can tell – this is based on the Mark 1 version. This is likely only to be made once.

The K-9 POP! vinyl figure stands around 9cm tall. Packed in an illustrated window box.

that’s really good, although its a shame we have to resort to this and support the USA economy rather than our own.

The UK seems to have been by passed on these so far.

the last gamestop exclusive (Dalek sec mutant) was on general release in the UK, probably as its not a variant as such like the other exclusives

As soon as you can order it i will add links

Popcultcha is taking pre-orders now for K9. I just pre-ordered him for $21.54 to ship to AZ in the US. Good deal considering I was worried I wouldn’t get him at all. I’m not risking waiting to see if I can get it online elsewhere. If I can, I’ll order extras and sell this one for cost plus shipping to someone who didn’t get one.

Now I’m just waiting on the Jack Harkness Vortex Manipulator version.

But it is so cute I want so much. I am getting sick to death now how in America they get practical get everything doctor who related first or it is only available in America. It is a British show so Britain should get it first!!!!!!

      January 12th, 2016 - 7:47am

on the other hand if it wasn’t for the strong (and much larger ) USA market you wouldn’t be getting any of this stuff at all

Unfortunately we are really stuck between a rock & a hard place as concerns merchandise. Without the large Worldwide market that now cover’s the Doctor Who franchise we would get very little of what is now available. On the other hand it’s still incredibly irratating having to wait months if not a year or more for some of this merchandise to turn up in the UK (and that’s of course if it does turn up) depending on manufacturers, licences, importers, distribution & so on?

    • booboo

      January 12th, 2016 - 12:33pm

for many items the USA effectively has one distributor, Undergorund toys who have a ready made customer and distribution base, the UK has no such thing so its more costly i would image to deal with companies on an individual basis which is why many things never reach here.

There is virtually no national high street presence for Doctor Who in the UK either now.

On the other hand Titans and Funkos are arriving about the same time now.

The amount of money to go round is being diluted so much now by different licenses as well
