Love the new figures in particular Cybershade, Ribbons, Recon Dalaek. Davros & the Zygon. If the series goes beyond 180, I don’t want Eaglemoss to down the route of making things only completists would buy. I have not interest in things like the Harlequin Doctor, regenerating Angel etc. Please make more monsters from the classic and new series.

I wonder if they’d do things like the Slyther, Taran Wood beast, Garm, Magma monster etc,or are they too out there?

Neil, is Novice Hame going to get made? Either in white or grey with her gun. She is one of my favourite characters and a key character in 10s run. I would love the moment sitting on the box which has been roumered.

Agreed – the collection has to go on for a while yet surely? 180 will not be enough – plenty of characters and monsters itching for the Eaglemoss treatment. Do please extend this fab collection to 210 (and beyond if possible).

…and I wonder where he got that idea from Booboo? I seem to remember a conversation on these pages between yourself & Neil over the Character Options version. It would also explain the Mini-Dalek figure seen a couple of week’s back as well?

    • booboo

      June 9th, 2019 - 10:20pm

i think this happened long before that conversation, but yes that’s where the Dalek is from, and lots more good stuff to come yet I’m sure.

Instead of “winding down” to issue 180, i think Neils’ got his foot on the accelerator…

      June 9th, 2019 - 8:52am

Vehicles like Bessie are nigh on impossible to do because of the processes we use. The Whomobile is more like, but there’s lots of other stuff higher in our lists.

      June 9th, 2019 - 9:32am

So in other words you need to extend the collection, lol! You did it with ST Starships, another great collection that you do. Here’s hoping for a Whomobile!!

    • Anonymous

      June 10th, 2019 - 9:49am

ST and SW are big, big franchises. ST ships has got to about 150 regular issues just like DW. Are there enough fans for DW that are also collectors of this series (worldwide) to make it keep going? I really hope so. Would love to have every era, every Doctor, every story represented before the collection ends.

Thanks Neil for the enthusiasm you have for this collection. I’m guessing a lot of hard work – but also very rewarding seeing the end results and the (mostly positive) reactions they generate. you can’t please everyone, but the majority of us, I think, are most appreciative.

I think most of the criticisms are due to either people seeing their favourite character not appearing when many others have been done, including variations, or the b### difficult task of painting a human(oid) face accurately and making it look not only like a person but also the actor as well. If anyone’s tried painting a wargaming figure you’ll know the amount of attention to detail needed. Because of the scale I’d have to say the figures are a representation of the character concerned, not a miniature Madame Tussaud sculpture.

Neil, I am very pleased with these new figures! I am especially looking forward to the Anne Droid! To end at 180- why not round it up to 200?

      June 8th, 2019 - 8:14am

Oh, to at least till 210! I have to agree Eaglemoss has done a better job than Character at giving us a much more rounded overview of all the doctors.

      mumble…mumble…carry the 2…mumble…aargh…start again…

erm can I put in a bid for 268 issues? odd number I know, but I think it marks the end of November 2023 (60th anniversary) or even 270 issues = end of 2023. Merry Christmas & happy New Year, here’s a special double sized final issue folks?

      or at least 220 issues ( 20 Feb 2020 unless I’ve miscounted).

Sorry, getting carried away again. I respectfully wish to purchase as many of the DW figurine collection as you can possibly make. thank you.

But, if the collectors do want the series to continue 😉 , and there’s enough of us making suggestions (or impossible demands) to make it worthwhile, can we at least make the DW collection the one that gets to the highest number of issues released? I think Eaglemoss’ Marvel Factfiles got to issue 250 didn’t it?

    • Anonymous

I could imagine The 5th to the 7th Console would be a cool design.

I’d love to see the 1st Doctor’s one made.

Not sure how easy the new series one’s would be near to the rotors connecting to the roof.

Same, the Eleventh Doctor era is very underrepresented. From the top of my head, I can think of these as figurines-
Series 5-Prisoner Zero, Smiler, Eternal Dalek, Regenerating Angel, Saturnyne, the Dream Lord, Restac, the Pandorica Cyberman
Series 6-Impossible Astronaut, the Siren, Nephew, Ganger, Madame Kovarian, Headless Monk, Dorium, Peg Dolls, Damaged Cyberman, Cyberman with gun, Strax
Series 7-Wooden King and Queen, Solomon’s robots, the Shakri, neutral Weeping Angel, Snowmen, Spoonhead, Crooked Man, Time Zombie, Crimson Horror Doctor, Mr Clever Doctor, Great Intelligence, the Moment, Tasha Lem.

Now, I realise these won’t get made given we have 20 ish issues left, but it makes you think how many more monsters and villains there are to keep the collection going!

    • Moodbeam

      June 7th, 2019 - 2:26pm

I’d definitely go for the Astronaut, Headless Monk, and a Peg Doll. They also feel like the most viable and likely to me. I’d also like the Werewolf from series 2. Hope you’re reading Neil.

Loving these preview images! Some really great figures there.
I’m especially pleased to see Broton and Davros but a nice selection of older and new. The Anne Droid figurine is great fun and good to see a ninth Doctor character.
Fingers crossed for a few more Tom era figures and even more crossed for an extension! I’d love to see a Shrivenzale special perhaps based a little more on the design drawing.

I hope they include a morox or Viijarian before the end of 19 as well. and on second viewing i,d agree ‘It takes you away’ is now my personal favourite from Series 11 followed by Demons of the Punjab and The Witchhunters.

What do you reckon are the chances we’ll get the frog on the chair released as a figurine in this collection at a future point, Booboo? Or neill?

Agree booboo. Frog episode was the best one of Series 11. Although I didn’t like the frog.
I do think they should have got Susan or someone else in for that bit. But Chibnells no past characters rule stopped that.

    • booboo

      June 7th, 2019 - 7:17pm

in a bad way (well what i think) it was brilliant, people expecting something “spectacular” then got a Frog.

But, would you really want them bring back Carol ann Ford, just to play a 1 mi ute long role, as a character that isn’t Susan. Same for any other previous companion/character they could have got.

Also, gotta admit, I don’t care if I’m the only one, I love the frog. I just like how absurd, random and nonsensical it all is. The Doctor Who universe shouldn’t be taken too seriously all the time. Gotta have abit of random nonsense every now and again, overwise, it wouldn’t be Doctor Who,would it?

I know people can’t like everything, but out of the ten there, four are from the classic series (I know you can’t quite see the Dalek Battle Computer), and if I’d remembered a certain Cyberman variant (which is just awesome) that would have made five out of the 11…
