If anything, I think that it should be a standard release, seing as this one is a bonus.

Just thought, I always thought that K9 had a tartan collar, stripes look odd.
Unless the stripes were’mk1’ and the tartan was ‘mk2’ or something like that.
Hopefully there’s a K9 expert out there that can confirm.
Also with reference to my previous comment I’ve noticed that this site has K9 as “Bonus edition 3”. I also thought the idea of the ‘bonus Daleks’ was that it would be a series of Daleks, now that’s changed!

Eaglemoss seem to have confused everyone with their bonus numbers, bonus one is now the Emperor Dalek and the other Daleks bonus 2 and 3 although they are 1 and 2 on the magazines and were originally sold that way, so this have this as bonus 4

I thought the bonus Dalek’s were going to be a series for the repaints, I was expecting the newer style Dalek’s to end up being apart of the bonus run but then they turned up as standard releases (& a bonus) so I figured they gave up with the bonus idea, happy to see anything extra but not sure why we need K9 as a bonus & not a proper normal release?

& a special even, not bonus…, got bonus on the brain I think. lol 🙂

K-9 will be a bonus because if they released him as a regular issue there would be certain individuals on forums, websites, Facebook, Twitter etc. complaining immediately “How dare you release a tiny character for full price”, “How dare you release a companion in the main collection”, “Where is Sutekh, I’m unsubscribing” it happens every time, they are taking precautions.

As for the tartan, yes it was on all the K-9 models, I’d probably blame it on the scale, can you imagine trying to paint the patterns on a collar that size?

According to the Eaglemoss website Bonus edition no1 is the free gift Dalek Emperor, Bonus edition no2 is the renamed Dalek special no1, Bonus edition no3 is the renamed Dalek special no2 and K9 mk1 is Bonus edition no4. Confusing or what!

Very confusing as the daleks was gold bonus and silver bonus when first released.

Hope Eaglemoss/BBC/Bassett-Trebor can thrash out a deal and release a special issue of the candyman.

not a fan of this join waiting list business to be honest, you loose the momentum

I order most of the figurines I want from Forbidden Planet now as it’s just a lot quicker getting them wise, I was surprised just how slow Eaglemoss actually take to start selling their own products, assuming they have some sort of agreement with retailers to get the figurines first?

I’d like a rusty variant, but there wouldn’t be enough difference between the others for me to warrant a variant.

It always amazed me why Sarah Jane didn’t give her K.9 a rub down and a respray…

Hideous paint job. Since when did K9 have green stripes in his eye visor?

I don’t think the collections shop pictures are the finalised version, Eaglemoss has posted an advert on the FB Doctor Who Figurine site and it had images of the K9 bonus figurine with silver numbers on his side

The first two bonus issues were Daleks, is the third bonus the first companion issue, because this one is numbered four?

Confirmed on Twitter it’s just crossed wires. The mega special has K-9 as number 4, the bonus issue has it as number 3 and they got the number wrong.

      August 3rd, 2018 - 4:35pm

So 2 and 3 are to be announced anytime soon?

    • Anonymous

      August 3rd, 2018 - 4:37pm

1 and 2 were the two Daleks they released a while back.

    • the ergon

      August 3rd, 2018 - 4:46pm

I forgot about those, I thought too it was companion related.

    • prototype dalek

      August 3rd, 2018 - 6:18pm

I think it is relating back to Bonus Dalek 1 and 2 so this maybe a continuation of the bonus figures, plus it does state bonus edition rather than companion edition so that leads me to believe that it is part of the Bonus figures from the Daleks then the new companion line.
