Yay! My 1970s childhood is making a comeback!

I wonder what’s next? A range of Ladybird Books maybe?

    – “People at work: The Time Lords”
    – ” The Story of Time Travel”
    – “How it Works: The Mark III Travel Machine”

Very good, that would work too. All this homage stuff is sometimes more interesting than new fiction. It’s a great novelty.

I guess I should leave some space on my shelf for:-

      Haynes Manual-Edwardian Roadsters: Model Bessie
Haynes Manual-K9 mk I,II and III

or perhaps a bit more useful:-

      Lett’s Study Guide: Ghost-Light

      or even:-

The Third Doctor’s Wine Guide: Book 1: Cynical but not sardonic

Having read the original Ladybird & Mr Men books when younger, I found the new revamped ‘Adult’ Ladybird retro-books hilarious. I think these Mr Men books will also do very nicely!

I wonder if these are gonna be aimed at kids or at adults who grew up with the original books and would see them as nostalgia. I have a feeling it’s the latter since most of them are gonna be about the classic Doctors.

My wife and I talked about these in front of our three year old and now she’s interested- without me even trying! Playing with Doctor Who Lego helped, too, no doubt.

I don’t think any of the Mr Men ever really wore clothes.

But, at least they’re wearing their shoes, I guess? 😛
