Does anyone know if there’s ANY version of this boxset with a Blu-ray Amaray case and not the ugly cardboard one?

Zavvi have the final artwork now. It appears that they’re sticking the mock up image but it includes a “booklet of facts” which could be cool. :L

I’ve had trouble ordering this over the past few days. Dunno if it’s the same problem other BBC sites have had or my internet, which has been a bit tricky. I had another go late last night & just managed to put my order through for the new year bonus discount with minutes to midnight. It wasn’t easy but I got there.
I don’t think the price is much higher than last series. I was quoted in the region of £55 in a shop for them to order s8. I decided to look online & found not only the BBC shop, but their exclusive for around £20 less. No exclusive this year, but their price is lower on that site, especially when one uses discount codes.
I’m not usually one for listening to every commentary, but I think Sleep No More will be essential along with the Extra – just to figure out what the hell it’s about & what they were thinking.
Lots of content, including the Doctor’s meditation, that I haven’t seen. Roll on 7th March ( or soonest date thereafter ).

Glad they included the Christmas specials. That was my main issue with the Series 8 pack they put out!

£20 less than RRP isn’t bad!

I hope this is the same set we’re getting in North America. And they better keep the same cover image too: I’m not planning to buy the Part 1/Part 2 sets anyway but I was very disappointed they chose non-Jenna images for the Region 1 releases. I didn’t expect both Christmas specials, which will be a bonus. It’s a shame it doesn’t look like a gag reel will be included (though the raven blooper I’m sure will be as part of the online stuff) but I’m intrigued by the deleted scenes.being included.

I wish they produced the boxsets in the same style as the 2014 re-releases….
I really liked the consistency of the timeless logo etc.

It says artwork tbc hope it is in the style of the part 1 and 2 seriesn9 or the series 8 boxset

    • 2doctors2000

      December 21st, 2015 - 4:22pm

But it still isn’t going to be consistent with the 2014 rerelease with the classic logo and the grey style top border thing

    • Nicholas

      December 23rd, 2015 - 11:19am

I don’t think they are allowed to put the classic logo on current series (2014 – ). The only way they could is if the BBC change the show’s logo to that classic one (which I think they should cause I’d like to have a uniform collection)

    December 21st, 2015 - 1:12pm

If it does indeed include 2014 and 2015 xmas specials it makes the chance of a full series next year even less as they usually hold back the most recent xmas special for the series 10 set.

      December 21st, 2015 - 1:21pm

      It will go down in price. The price is easily justified though – this boxset is easily the most jam packed since at least the RTD years! This includes;
      14 episodes,
      3 commentaries,
      8 behind the scenes,
      6 documentaries,
      and 7 other extras.
