Bump-N-Go Cybermat – Pictures / Video

Character Doctor Who Bump-N-Go Cybermat

Expected 16th October 2011 RRP £16.99

Recreate scenes from Series 6, Episode 12. Closing Time with this replica electronic patrolling Cybermat with motorised tail action. Watch as it hunts, patrols and changes direction when it bumps into an object. Requires 2 x AA batteries. 5+

OK its a bit of a crude video – I’m not brilliant and these things but you get they idea – its great fun!

Our own images…

The packaging – The Cybermat is not “weathered” like the official image…

The Cybermat takes 2 “AAA” batteries which aren’t supplied. When moving around the tail moves from side to side and it randomly changes direction, It looks quite impressive…

The Cybermat seems smaller than in the episode but still looks good measuring approx 6.5 inches long by 3 inches wide…

The underneath – the mouth does not open to reveal any teeth…

The official image…

Yeah I’m aware they made it months ago quite possibly due to many people wanting one since the filming pics were released. And yeah it’s because it’s not remote controlled anonymous. Also booboo I saw the 100 scariest monsters book in whsmith today I didn’t buy it cause I hope to get it for Christmas. I thought it was out next week? Have you or anyone else seen it?

My answer to the wheels would be to paint the outside black to make them less obvious.

I suspect that it wont be long before the more technically minded can take the shell of the Cybermat and add it to a small RC car to get a proper RC mat.

Bump and go is ok but if the can make and RC Dalek I’m sure they could have managed to do this.

when I go to Experience in November I will definitely buy this if it is there! Looks like that Character Options person who was asking if we’d want a Cybermat well he certainly listened! It looks a lot better than the not very good remote control average figure size daleks we got last year.

Judging by the image, I’d guess that this’ll be almost an exact replica to the actual prop. If it is, I’m SOOO buying this. If not then I’ll probably still buy it. I’m fickle that way…

Is this a Character Options toy? FP says it is, but the AI sounds like the Desktop Patrol Dalek from WowStuff.

    Hmm, interesting.
