Doctor Who Adventures issue 306

magazine-dwa306Doctor Who Adventures issue 306

I have just had a very interesting day. It Iooked like night and it smelt like peppermint.

Then I discovered that a bunch of very fresh-smelling aliens were trying to steal daylight! I managed to stop them, of course, but i learnt something very important – not all bad aliens smell bad. Sometimes they smell delightful.

And sometimes good aliens smell horrific. The moral of this tale is: never judge a monster by its stink. Bye.

2 Asdas and 1 Coop I have been in did not have any.

Is there something special about some of these editions.

Some gifts people got only originally came in bagged versions, so did anyone get one in a DWA printed bag, or was the dalek trainer bag, for instance folded several times and folded on the front.

I saw 2 copies today of this issue in Tesco’s, both with different free gifts sellotaped onto the front of the covers.

One had a Badge of the 11th Doctor with a Keyring saying ‘Geronimo’, the other issue had some sort of book or something.

I have never seen so many different gifts with one magazine. They must really be clearing out a lot of returned gifts from sale-or-return mags.

However, what I have not seen is a bagged magazine with trainer bag etc. Was this a subscriber only?

We have had it several times. But usually we do not have bagged and unbagged magazines, unless it is a shop exclusive. There was a trainer bag one recently exclusive to Sains and WHS or something.

If some people have got a bagged version this time you would think it an exclusive to a shop. To me it is different to just having a different gift cello taped to the magazine because they have to print the bag, give it a diff barcode and price etc.

I see some of you got gifts that could only have meant the entire magazine was bagged. If so where did you get them from (subscribed)

I have tried Sains, WHS, Tesco etc and only found the gifts (and so many of them) in an unbagged format.

      Krillitane
      River Leap
      Cassandra
      Ace
      Headless Monks (ultra rare!
      Liz Ten’s Mask
      HItler Punch
      Forest of Cheem
8 swaps and 1 new- Headless Monks. I now only need Super Rare 3D Dalek Scientist And The Infinite to finish my extreme collection.

I checked my Coop Thursday evening and they had no issues. Will check again today. I presume the trainer bag was not cellotaped to the magazine but that everything was in a bag. If so that makes this a decent variant. I have tried so many shops to no avail to get this variant

I would love to see the Slitheen back in Doctor Who, there one of my favorite new series monsters.

True that all the Slitheen in series 1 are all dead now, but there was other members of the Slitheen family which appeared in the Sarah Jane Adventures, and let’s not forget that Blon Fel Fotch Pasmerday Slitheen did say in ‘Boom Town’ that there are many other Slitheen scattered off world, so it is possible to bring the devils back, or rather unseen members of the Slitheen family, up against the 11th Doctor, farting their way to victory 😀

Stevan Moffat would never bring them back all he cares about is his own charactors and ruining asylum of the daleks. They did not evan return in the pandorica opens

      February 6th, 2013 - 8:32am

Hang on, what makes you think he would not want to bring them back ?, he might bring them back in Series 8, you never know.

After all, he brought back some of the creations from Russell T. Davies Era, like the Judoon and the Weevil’s from Torchwood back in the Pandorica Opens.
