Doctor Who Adventures issue 267

Doctor Who Adventures issue 267

I had a big adventure the other day.

I spent ages looking For a lost sock and then it turned up in the washing machine, of all places!

Just kidding!

But I did visit a galaxy shaped like a washing machine that had been invaded by killer socks.

Not only did they have big, razor-sharp teeth, but they smelled a bit, too!

Also inside…

*New York, New York
*XTreme Monsters
*The Grontlesnurt Horror
*Amy Pond facts
*Freaky first encounters
*Island of the cyclopes (comic)
*regeneration
*Designing the details and much more

This weeks issue comes with a surprise mini monster Army, Mosh monster stickers and a bumper sticker sheet.

As there isn’t a preview of The Ultimate Dalek it’s the red crucible Supreme Dalek from The Stolen Earth.

Is there anything new about these monster army gifts. Presumably we have had them all before.

I collect all permutations of the magazine when it is a new gift, but here am undecided/uncertain and time is running out. I have one, but as I don’t open the magazine I dont know what it is.

I have checked thanks to a comment below, and have Judoon and Ood which were issued with #254, so presumably the other variants were too.

Awesome gift idea! But seriously flawed!

I got “Judoon & Ood” today, as did my friend. One problem > That’s all we can find round here where we live. Someone else I know got “Silence & Angels”, but Cybermen, Silurians, Daleks and Sontarans seem really rare. Not fair!

The Judoon figures aren’t great, they’re really dark and you can’t see their faces that well. The Cybermen should be called the “Stay-Puff Men” as they look NOTHING like the thin steel soldiers we see on TV. Just fat silver people.

Stickers suck. Put “Monster Invasion” in!

Whoops, I meant to point out that “Moshi Monsters” suck. The Doctor Who ones were fab! 10/10

There are some great stickers with this issue with some great Series 6 images on such as the Doctor in his stetson, Amy with tally marks, old Rory, Nephew and, my favourite, the Doctor next to the TARDIS in The Wedding of River Song. 😀

I got this yesterday. I like the big sheet of Doctor Who stickers, but don’t see the point in the Moshi monsters stickers. My monster army was Silents and Silurians. And why should the price go up to £29.99 for a rereleased gift and some stickers? I bet they’re including the bag and the packaging.

Oops! I mean the comic is £2.99! Now £29.99 for a few pieces of paper, some staples and some bits of plastic really would be a rip-off!

“The Two Doctors” is great fun! People say it’s the worst out of the four Classic era adventures but it has loads of good things. Spain, Sontarans with huge space guns, the Second Doctor, oh and some grim Sontaran deaths which are pretty cool (not scarey at all). When you see them die you’ll laugh at how much it’s like “Indiana Jones”.

Good cover, however it is spoiled by the yellow background. A darker background would have been much more suitable!

Great silence and daleks on the cover- again. Glad the beast, shark, minotaur and cyberking get a bit of recognition. I think the brainiest foe is the anne droid , the baddest the daleks and the biggest the beast. The silence are boring and the fog shark isnt scary just fast. Whats the grontlesnort horror. Plus i like the freaky first poster. Whats the ultimate poster ? Plus they should do ultimate companions and ultimate doctors. Would be good!

They are boring when all you hear about is the Silence on every piece of merchandise and magazine. Same with the Weeping angels.

The monsters themself are not boring. Just the amount of times we see them on stuff.

WOW! What a brilliant cover! The Beast, Minotaur and Cyberking togeather!
