You cna usually find the items on www.amazon.co.uk or www.ebay.co.uk

The Seventh Doctor’s iconic appearance was designed by Ken Trew in April 1987, ready for McCoy’s debut in Time and the Rani. He battled Daleks and Cybermen, braved Paradise Towers, played chess with Fenric, and performed at the Psychic Circus for the Gods of Ragnarok until the costume made its last appearance in 1989’s Survival.

Sylvester McCoy’s Seventh Doctor briefly tried a Napoleon-inspired look, a mortarboard with cape, and the clothes of four of his predecessors, but he quickly settled on this iconic jumper that underlines the show’s main concept: Doctor… Who?!

Day of The Doctor DVD and Blu-ray

books-thevault300Doctor Who: The Vault: Treasures from the First 50 Years

Named in Guinness World Records as the longest running science fiction TV series in the world, the BBC-produced television program, Doctor Who, will celebrate its fiftieth year in 2013. Since its conception in 1963, the show has become a major part of British pop culture and has continued to garner new fans with each generation.

The series centers on the adventures of the main character known simply as the Doctor, who is a Time Lord—a time traveling humanoid alien—who explores the universe in his TARDIS, a telepathic time-and-space-travel machine that, on the outside, resembles a classic blue British police box. Over the years, the Doctor has been accompanied by a wonderful array of companions who have helped him battle his enemies and save civilizations.

  • The TARDIS

    January 4th, 2013 - 7:29pm

    Some things I would like:
Key to Time modfel with pieces that fit together Like a jigsaw ans with a magnetic tracer that buzzes when it’s near it.
    Sonic Screwdriver collection!
A series of collections for each Doctor that includes new figures of the Doctor, a selection of companions, an enemy or two and a very special special edition of one of their best stories. Plus maybe the reprint for their Doctor. So for the first Doctor, Ian, Susan and Barbara, a Dalek and a special edition of The Dalek Invasion of Earth and the book Ten Little Aliens.

    • The TARDIS

      January 4th, 2013 - 7:32pm

Any other ideas for other sets? For the second Doctor, I’d use Jamie, Victoria and Zoe with a Tomb of the Cybermen style Cyberman and an Ice Warrior with a special edition of The Mind Robber.

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    January 4th, 2013 - 2:33pm

i do not like those mugs. they are creepy

  • Baba

    January 4th, 2013 - 9:47am

I think I will get some of the stuff there.
    Like:
The collectors books with the special covers.
The glasses with the silhouette of the doctors head on it.
    The TARDIS bobble head.

I do hope they make more stuff for the 50th anniversary.

    January 1st, 2013 - 6:13pm

The BBC should release a new Doctor Who videogame for the 50th on 3DS where you start off as the 1st Doctor and each time you die,you regenerate into the next one until you reach the current 11th Doctor. Then,if you die whilst in your 11th incarnation,it’s game over.

It should be a open world action/adventure featuring a wide mixture of popular companions both classic and new, with over 50 of the Doctor’s enemies in the game including the Daleks and the weeping angels.

      January 4th, 2013 - 1:39pm

We keep hoping for at least one great Doctor Who game! (Especially one that features multiple – or all! – regenerations).

Really Doctor Who should be a game developer’s dream, with almost endless possibilies for story and location.

    December 31st, 2012 - 4:44pm

I have a couple of good ideas(I think they are good but feel free to criticize) :
    1. the curse of peladon set: 1x alpha centauri 1x ice warrior 1x Ice lord and 1x king peladon.
2.the invasion set: 1x Tobias Vaughn 2x cybermen with guns and emotion ray thing and 1x Zoe heriot.
    3.2nd doctor companion set: 1x 2nd doctor 1x Jamie Mcrimmon 1x Ben 1x Polly and 1x Victoria
4.The Green death set 1x doctor in milkman uniform 1x professor Clifford Jones 1x BOSS computer monitor and 1x Mike Yates in civvies’ clothing.
    5. 1x Bessie 1x 3rd doctor 1x Liz

    • jacondanjake

      January 2nd, 2013 - 11:37pm

I agree with everything except that I think Zoe Heriot should be in the 2nd Doctor Companion Set rather than The Invasion Set.

    • McGann is The Doctor

      January 4th, 2013 - 5:05pm

A green death set with the Third Doctor in milkman uniform and clifford jones ?

Who would want that ?! I want the giant flying thing and the Doctor in his tartan cloak from the episode !

What they really need for Jon Pertwee is a set with him and Sarah from the Monster of Peladon with Aggedor and the Icelord, I love that story and would certainly buy that ! ❗

    • Willjones

      January 8th, 2013 - 9:10pm

fair enough. thanks for your feedback 🙂

    • Hazumu

      January 19th, 2013 - 11:47am

With the Green Death set you could have a variant release with the Doctor dressed in his cleaner disguise

  • drjakeyoung

    December 30th, 2012 - 5:38pm

how about the BBC animate every single lost doctor who episode (let them take a few years) and the release a giant box cubed thing(shaped like a Tardis, with every season box set in it! It could include some exclusive stuff with it like art cards, maybe a sonic screwdriver, actions figures and a comic. It would probably be about as big as a chair and the price range would be impossible but hay, if your a doctor who fan you will buy anything related to doctor who!

    • Willjones

      December 31st, 2012 - 4:54pm

A really good Idea I certainly wouldn’t oppose it but it could take a long time

    • drjakeyoung

      January 1st, 2013 - 6:31pm

by the time the BBC animate every lost episode (say 10/20 years from now) they will also have to include all the 12th and 13th doctor episodes, and because if the 13th doctor is supposedly the last doctor they could call it Doctor Who:the complete collection

    • Anonymous

      January 2nd, 2013 - 10:29am

Do you really think they’d finish it? They’ve already said they will just make something up at the time and have another one.

    • drjakeyoung

      January 2nd, 2013 - 6:23pm

the bbc make tuns of money out of the show but by the time of the 13th doctor i think they would of animated all the episodes, which is perfect timing(just a guess) but yea the beeb would never cancel the show whistled it is making money

    • Baba

      January 4th, 2013 - 2:06pm

That’s an amazing idea, they still have the voice recordings!

  • Nathan Hancock

    December 30th, 2012 - 1:17pm

How about a variant set of the eleven Doctors (5 inch) and a variant set of the character building eleven Doctors set

    • The Smith Nebula

      January 4th, 2013 - 1:10pm

Apparently there was a variant 5″ Eleven Doctors set but it was scrapped because of low interest from retailers.

  • Mumble5557 Productions

    December 29th, 2012 - 8:37pm

How about a DVD & BluRay 3 part box set covering the most popular episode from that doctors era????

    • Blink

      January 2nd, 2013 - 10:14am

booboo are you going to do a page on what figures we would like to see in the snowmen

  • Steve

    December 9th, 2012 - 1:50pm

Anyone else find it mighty annoying that most of the merchandise in particular the 16 oz glasses need to be shipped from the US, UNLESS you want to wait for them to become available in the home of Doctor Who, the UK. Shipping adds an extra $15 dollars onto the price, so you’re basically paying for the same item twice when it should be made readily available here in the UK. Very, very annoying.

    • daff

      December 26th, 2012 - 7:26pm

glad im not the only one who notiched this, it takes the p*ss beyond all DW is british not american, looks like their going to steal it and milk it to death like they have done with Harry Potter

    • Radburn

      December 26th, 2012 - 8:01pm

Totally agree! I have said this time after time. Most of this 50th Merchandise is available mainly from the US or Australia at a significant cost. I managed to get the Tardis Stringlights & I would like the Yahtzee game – But a lot of it is cash-in tat – So really I’m being very choosy over what I buy. At least we have the UK Stamp set to look forward to!

    • booboo

      December 26th, 2012 - 8:25pm

I see no “cash-in tat” on this page, the reason its mostly USA so far is because they are USA based companies.

    • TellyGeek

      December 28th, 2012 - 5:16am

Welcome to my life since 1987. Sorry but I’m not feeling sympathetic considering I’ve paid in the past 25 years enough $$ and UK Royal mail shipping charges to buy a small house in New Orleans, USA. I figure all my $ spent has made it my show too!

    • Cate

      March 24th, 2013 - 12:09pm

I understand how annoyed you are, shipping costs make the item way to pricey. Knowing that this is a big event for Doctor Who it is unlikely that the products will not be sold in British stores. I am happy that these are being made in the US though, because now I might be able to find Doctor Who products in American stores other than Barnes and Noble and their tiny selection.

When CO released the third Doctor set and the Chase set last year I thought CO had really begun to get their act together…my how they let things slide in 2012…..and so far 2013 doesn’t look much better. They havent even managed to get the three Doctors set out for christmas….

As a long term fan Ive not seen 1 item so far that’s made me sit up and think fantastic….
CO should be boosting the classic range for the 50th anniversay a plethora of aliens untouched….

And those toby jugs I didnt think theyd manage to make a set worse than that batch a few years back…but these a flippin’ horrible.

Anyone else read this daft text message in the current issue of Doctor Who Magazine by Johnny Dean –

‘Is it just me who thinks ‘Whovian’ is a rubbish name ?. I’m starting a campaign to change it to ‘EnWhosiast’.

I can’t even pronounce the stupid name his made up, but no, Whovian is NOT rubbish, so this guys campaign is a waste of his time.

    WHOVIAN AND PROUD 🙂

I think it is supposed to be a play on words on Enthusiast, so just pronounce that with a ‘W”

The jugs look like the figure from the 11 doctors set with handles. Lol, I think I will get the glasses and maybe so e of the books. I would have been nice to have saved the 11 doctors set for next year, but never mind.

Not entirely sold on the 50 Years TARDIS, nor the swirly-wirly thing.

Really? I love the ‘swirly-wirly’ logo!

I’m not that keen either on the 50 Years Tardis logo. But the ‘swirly-wirly’ logo as you guys have called it is cool 😉

I’ve just seen it on the Top Trumps collection – it looks great in context! And, whilst I still don’t like the TARDIS thing, I do like the theme of gold logos.

With the TARDIS thing, they could have done something in the theme of the current logo. Like a 50 instead of a DW.

The Tardis – If you go to Deviant Art and type in ‘Doctor Who 50th Anniversary’, there are afew uploads which does feature 50 in the style of the DW Tardis logo as ‘ DOCTOR 50 WHO’ 🙂

Let’s hope there are some good episodes along with all this merchandise! The Cybermen are also returning this series.

Yeah, I read they will be in episode 13 as far as I know from Wikipedia or where ever I read it online.

I imagine that the rest of series 7 will be finished in early 2013 so series 8 might be on later in the year if where lucky rather then wait for series 8 in 2014.

The 50th anniversary celebrations will make the first bit of the next series. What that means in terms of episodes is a mystery though, but it is unlikely they’d delay it to 2014 (otherwise you’d be waiting until Autumn again).

After the end of series 7, there will be 4 tennant-esque specials in november to mark the anniversary
