One of the biggest regrets of my life not getting this, I was in Forbidden Planet Newcastle and they had them right there on the shelves for £30 each. For some stupid reason I can’t even remember, I decided I would get one the next time I came. Then I went to the Doctor Who Experience and they had them there for £40 , to which I thought “I’ll get one at FB for £10 cheaper!” To then find out that they’d sold out EVERYWHERE and are selling for nearly £200! Every other ‘exclusive’ that I get just becomes more common, but the one that I miss becomes mega rare! Don’t suppose anyone has a spare? 🙁

I’m really upset that I missed out on this one. Any chance they’ll release the same content in a regular package? I don’t care about mu stuff being limited.

It sickens me that sellers are charging people up to £70 for these when they’re available in HMVs for the rrp.
To any of you in Ireland, HMV (Henry St) in Dublin had 4 DVDs and 3 BRs of the set when I popped in last week!

I got one but mum said can she have it , off course she has given me the money but I keep missing going back to HMV , she’s like ” have you bought it yet!” I just would not mind lending. I have already gotten my friend Sean into Who his on Series five at the minute and seeing as every ep is brand new he said to me yesterday ” What’s all the crack about when the intro comes on on the DVD?” – Me well I just said ”I wont spoil it for you”. His up to Vamps in Venice. I said Amy’s Choice must see. His been through faces 9th then 10th – 11th?:0

I picked up a Bluray copy today from HMV Birmingham – they had another 2 left.

I know people who have tried other HMV’s today and got one.

If there’s a BBC Radio Station/Shop in your city, have a look. I found one today & he had a few behind the counter. Apparently it’s because they’re a different branch to the BBC Shop website or something. Good luck 🙂

It is NOT region free. I got mine from the BBC shop and it does not play on my Region A player. I inquired at the BBC Shop’s Customer Service, and they confirmed it is Region B.

Got mine today (box was dreadfully battered, no damage to contents though) really annoyed that it took so long to come, if pre-ordered it should arrive on the day or at least within that week.

Same with me, except that mine was coming from BBC Shop.

It’s apparently “lost in the post”.

    • StormOfOncomers

      September 13th, 2014 - 5:18pm

I’ve emailed BBC Shop, no reply yet. I’m gonna be very p!ssed off if it’s been “lost”, I was one if the first 500 to order and everything.

    • GallifreyanKnight

      September 13th, 2014 - 5:32pm

You probably won’t get a reply from them until about Tuesday.

I hope yours didn’t get lost in the post too.
They said they’d send me another one as a replacement for the one that went missing, but I’m not holding out much hope.

I was so sure that I was one of the first 500 to preorder it too. Evidently not, as I’ve not had any confirmation from them about it. 😥

    • StormOfOncomers

      September 13th, 2014 - 5:39pm

I got a first 500 confirmation email on last Tuesday – you should stay hopeful for a replacement boxset, it’s common sense to expect a postage mishap so I’m sure they kept a few aside should such an incident occur

    • GallifreyanKnight

      September 13th, 2014 - 5:52pm

I’ve never had anything go missing in the post though, so you can see why I’m annoyed about it.

    • StormOfOncomers

      September 13th, 2014 - 6:00pm

Absolutely! What country is yours being delivered to btw?
I’m in the south of Ireland.

    • GallifreyanKnight

      September 13th, 2014 - 6:05pm

      South England.
      Bracknell, to be precise.

If it were going to turn up, it would’ve done so ages ago. 🙁

I haven’t received mine as well, but I’m from Poland. I’ve ordered “the complete specials” from BBC Shop and waited like two weeks before it came, so I try not to panic yet and just calmly wait.

    • GallifreyanKnight

      September 15th, 2014 - 6:36pm

I had an email today from BBC Shop.
They’ve said that they have run out of stock of the blu-ray version, and are unable to replace my one that got “lost” in the post.

I hope they hurry up and process my refund, so that I can buy the blu-ray version from someone a little more reliable.

One thing is for sure. I won’t ever use BBC Shop again.

Gallifreyan Knight… Did you order the 50th set with another item (something equalling £45 or more) as I had a problem that Parcel force kept going up and down in front of my house when I ordered the series 1-7 blu-ray and just kept driving because they couldn’t see a 48…
