50th Anniversary BBC Shop Prints – 1st Doctor

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary William Hartnell Limited Edition Print – BBC Shop Exclusive

Available to order from the BBC Shop

To celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who BBC Shop is producing a very special limited edition print for each Doctor and releasing one each month during 2013. There are only 100 available of this collectable framed print. Only available at BBC Shop. Don’t miss out on this very exciting release complete with certificate of authenticity.

An exile from his homeworld, wandering space and time in his trusty TARDIS with granddaughter Susan, the First Doctor appears to be a frail old man. But don’t be fooled. With a chuckle and a twinkle in his eye, he has an unquenchable thirst to explore, and a knack of getting himself into trouble doing it.

Sometimes doting, sometimes difficult, the First Doctor was both a loving father-figure and a fierce opponent. He plays deadly games with the Celestial Toymaker, he fools Roman emperors, mongol warlords and French revolutionaries, and he foils each and every machination of the evil Daleks.

After preventing the Cybermen from absorbing the Earth’s energy and with his body “wearing a bit thin”, the First Doctor collapses to the TARDIS floor and begins to change…

happy birthday for then! I am a bit worried about the fact that you can pre order this, which means if i wanted to buy this on my birthday, they could already be out of stock, seeing as there are only 100 of them being produced
