I might be 7 years late but is this set on sale ANYWHERE today? Can’t find it on Ebay or Amazon.

if they sold these on-line there would probably be no need to reduce them

Sorry, I haven’t clear the thing about the Preacher Gun Cyberman: why is it a variant? Thanks

Because it has the Cybus logo instead of the O logo the Cybus-design Cybermen from our universe has. I also has the Closed fist punch hand and doesn’t have an Arm gun.

I’m getting more and more pessimistic about the future of Doctor Who figures at both scales. I was checking my local B&M nearly every day for the release of these sets, in case I couldn’t get them before they’d gone… now some time later the shop still has multiple quantities of all three sets. As for other shops… Forbidden Planet and Toys R Us just keep reducing their dwindling stock of the same old same old, it’s pretty depressing. I hope this won’t be the end.

This set would have sold more if it was the Ghost Cyberman with updated Tennant sculpt no scars etc, the Vasta could have reused Rivers body so it could have been Anita as a vastra neradabto make it a ‘new’ figure.

Well, don’t know if it’s the case for all of them, but I had the nice surprise yesterday to see that the Vashta Nerada actually had a removeable helmet, unlike previous versions.

      Is the helmet removable?

      Can u put pictures please?

Mine can come of too, but it cant fully detach as the skull is too large and i don’t want to rub any paint, or worse, break it.

I don’t think its supposed to come off, its just a result of these sets being made on the cheap.

    • Anonymous

      July 25th, 2016 - 7:19pm

But, yeah, it could be used to make a “female” vashta nerada if u can get it and the skull off.

      July 25th, 2016 - 7:23pm

Or, u could wait till halloween and try and find a realistic(ish) skeleton, in routh scale with the 5″ line along with strips of some white fabric and maybe even one of those oldfashioned chairs (for dollhouses usually) and make what was left of miss evangelista, slightly more complex, but could work…

My only problem with this set is that the Cyberman won’t be able to hold his gun.

Why another Tenth Doctor set? The previous B&M set had the Cyberman and a version of the 10th doctor. We could have had another Matt Smith set or 9th doctor set!

Probably aimed more to the mass market. Let’s be honest, Doctor Who was at its height of the public eye when Tennant was here, (since the revival anyway)

      June 10th, 2016 - 6:49pm

Well we have had plenty of those sets too, ever since woolworths closed down the sets arnt really aimed at collectors anymore, more like any new fan that wants a figure

Is there ever going to be a new 10th doctor set that actually comes with a sonic screwdriver!!!!

    • booboo

      June 9th, 2016 - 5:23pm

      I doubt it now

not unless 10 returns some day in an entirely different costume to warrant a complete new figure, even then i think it would be pushing it

    • Anonymous

      July 26th, 2016 - 1:58am

I think booboo may have misread the question, but i guess the sonic must be left out due to costs, theyre cutting some corners to bring the price down.

    • booboo

      July 26th, 2016 - 7:07am

yes, but it maybe B&M didn’t want any small parts in these sets, who knows

  • Judooning

    June 9th, 2016 - 4:04pm

I think the Cyberman is technically a variant isn’t it? I don’t think we’ve ever had a standard Cybus Cyberman (no arm gun) with a closed fist.

nope. Plus the fact it officially comes with the Torchwood gun from Doomsday is a plus.

    • James A

      June 9th, 2016 - 6:28pm

Plus its actually more accurate, seeing as all Cybus Cybermen always walked around with closed fists compared to the figures what all have grasping hands

Booboo, do you know if the store in the U.K. that are getting these sets are going to ship to the U.S.?

no they dont post at all, at least not at the moment

to be honest there entire set up i think relies on people visiting their stores

they do have 500 stores so most people will not be to far from one

    • Doctor_Number 10

      June 9th, 2016 - 3:52pm

So how do us people in the U.S. get these sets?

    • booboo

      June 9th, 2016 - 4:28pm

The 3rd Doctor set is to be a whona exclusive i think, and unless UT decide to import them you will have to find Uk ebay sellers who ship overseas

same as UK buyer have to do with all the USA exclusive stuff

  • Platon29

    June 9th, 2016 - 3:12pm

Uh, why can’t we ever have a 10th doctor figure with swivel arms? Every other figure has them, no reason for this figure to not have it.

new tooling / production which you not going to get at this price

    • Omega63

      June 9th, 2016 - 3:43pm

Still no reason to have the old hair style, confusing choice. Hopefully the shirt is as dark as it appears here though, then it’s technically a variant with a darker blue shirt. As opposed to the very light blue often used.

    • booboo

      June 9th, 2016 - 3:47pm

these sets are clearly designed to give the best return for all parties at a budget price giving new and old buyers excellent value

any alteration in production, paint masks, tooling would make them un-viable

    • Cyberman Bill

      June 9th, 2016 - 6:01pm

To add anything new would cost money….. These sets are to make money.. Not cost Character Options money.

    • Omega63

      June 9th, 2016 - 9:25pm

I’m not saying add anything new. The new hairstyle is a current sculpt and has been since the Eleven Doctors Set
