The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in the 50th anniversary special.

In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion.

All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him…

At the conclusion of this story the Eleventh Doctor meets the Curator, the mysterious guardian of the painting now revealed to be called: “Gallifrey Falls, No More”.

The Curator seems to know a lot more about the Doctor than he lets on, a mystery that still remains unsolved…

  • Includes a Curator Figure, Lenticular Gallifrey Falls Painting, Walking Stick.
  • “In years to come, you might find yourself… revisiting a few. But just the old favourites, eh?”
  • For ages 5 years and over. Styles may vary.

“So yesterday morning we were sent a box of production samples of action figures we’ve been working on over the last nine months.

Most of them haven’t even been announced yet so we can’t talk about them but one figure, The Curator, went on sale yesterday so we thought you might like to see some ‘behind the scenes’ renders of the original sculpt. He was sculpted in ZBrush and rendered in Keyshot.”

I assumed it was intentional having 4 be the likeness of the curator since it was 4 who had an art gallery in his tardis. Which lends to the theory that the gallery is actually the curator’s tardis. The roundrels certainly add to that.

My theory is that the Curator is the fourth Doctor. Hes not a future a Doctor, rather a side one. Basically my theory is that this the Doctor from the unmade ‘Lost in the Dark dimension’ and that in order to fix time he has to become the Watcher and merge with his other timeline which would cancel his out. His appearence here could be him Watching out for his Alternate future-self, whose future he has somehow observed.

The Curator set I ordered arrived and must say it’s wonderfully detailed, even incorporating the packing with the figures!

The head IS removable, but mine actually came rather stiff, and when I tried removing the head, some of the paint around the lower neck chipped off. If you want to remove the head, I suggest using the boil-and-pop method.

some people do get the odd dud with these, my Clara is completely perfect in every way except for a dodgy bit of paint on her arm, while someone else got a monstrosity of a figure

Booboo. Please advise me. should I tweet Al dewar about the problems with Curator and Clara. Its not his fault it must be the factories they just don’t seem to be sorting out the good from the chaff properly.

no need, it will get noticed

must say through our curator arrived to day and its spot on, nothing loose and looks great, a bit big as we already know but can live with that and the painting is huge!

The right arm is a little loose on mine but fixable… Paint etc. seems OK and the height issue doesn’t bother me. I guess I got lucky but I feel bad for the folks who got Duff’s 🙁

Same here. My Curator figure has extremely loose legs and arms. Very poor quality. Not worth the 34.99 even with the painting that can’t stand on its own!

Whona has had it for over a month. I got it a month ago from Whona. It’s such a fun set. I sent some pics in of it in the box but there really is no place to put them. Do you have the set? You should post some pics. Especially if you open it.

I got mine from Barnes and Noble in New York. Had it for over a week now! It’s a great set. The walking stick is by the wrong hand in the packaging, but that’s hardly worth mentioning really.
