I prefer our version to USA’s because from pics it looks the like the spine and design will match series 8 box set, which I like. Any thoughts.

Why are there 4 discs on the phot when it’s a 3 disk boxset?

It’s because the DVD version is 4 discs and they are the DVD discs. It’s very confusing.

Not too impressed by the cards, would have been nice to have some artwork from each episodes like what the limited edition series 5 box set came with, but i guess it’s a nice added bonus.

So, the only new things in this set are a bonus feature, which will probably be about 5 minutes long, and some Christmas cards?!

Well, this release will be a super easy pass.

Nothing but a blatent money grab by the BBC.

why do you assume that because you may have them everyone does

So what about the people who dont own any, How exactly is this a money grab from that point a view?

All franchises over the years have done the Best of collections or Christmas special collections for casual buyers who maybe new to the market with some value added bonuses.

I couldn’t give a stuff about these money-churners & if the BBC want to constantly release them over & over again fine. Doesn’t mean I have to buy it! As long as the Previous year’s Christmas Special or Following year’s on each boxset I’m happy. Just waiting for the full Season 9 boxset with Christmas Special on it to be released.

No really sure on the idea. Most people would have already got them in the collection. So why would they buy them again. I found it strange enough when they put all of Smith’s specials in with The Time of the Doctor release!
I just don’t see these selling at all!

Well, some newer fans might not have the episodes. I don’t think this is a good set to get them in personally, but it’s always good to have choice.

Love the idea of this. Really, really loving the US artwork. Really hope the artwork ends up being the same for the UK and US versions, rather than the rather bland TARDIS artwork being used at the moment (or at least reversible covers to give buyers a choice). Would be nice to also get a version packaged with the Sonic like the US are getting, though I doubt it based upon past boxsets.

    Definitely buying this.

As there is no number given and the box is a Collectors Edition, it’s probably not numbered like the 50th set was. I.E not very limited.
