Cyberleader / Cyberman ‘Silver Nemesis’ Picture

Cyberleader and Cyberman from ‘Silver Nemesis’ 2 Pack

Exclusive to Forbidden Planet! You can order this set Here while stocks last

The Seventh Doctor and Ace visit Windsor, England in 1988, where three factions – the Cybermen, a group of Neo-Nazis and a 17th Century time travelling sorceress named Lady Peinforte – are each attempting to capture a weapon made of a living metal, Validium, created as the ultimate defence for Gallifrey. The weapon is now in the form of a statue of Lady Peinforte and has three components that must be brought together in order to be activated.

In order to foil an earlier attempt to control it, the Doctor launched the weapon inside an asteroid, into a 25 year orbit over 300 years ago. The asteroid now crashes back to Earth near Windsor Castle. The Doctor plays the three rival groups off against one other until eventually he appears to surrender the statue to the Cybermen. However, this is just another carefully-laid trap by the Doctor and the Cybermen warships are totally wiped out when they attempt to control the weapon.

In this exclusive figure set we present the Cyber Leader and Cyberman each with a Cybergun from the 1988 story Silver Nemesis.

This looks good. I’m waiting until it goes down to about £20 because it’s basically the same figure as the Earthshock Cyberman but with some fancy bits added on.

Major difference is that these are Silverry Cybermen, and the design+shape is much more exotic and sortof, artistic. The armour detailings and strange little pieces of steel, all much more visually enhancing to the Cybers than those first seen in Earthshock. And these ones always seemed alot taller. But I cant exactly get, or atleast open them, till Ive done first things first and got some atha Wave 2 Cybermen, need atleast four. Nice plan. 🙂

If they make any more “(insert number)-Doctor Adventure sets”, they should so make a Fifth Doctor, and from his era we would need the Cyberleader from Earthshock, and a Tegan of some sort, or Adric instead, because you wouldnt have a better oppurtunity to sell an Adric figure, perhaps the AnthonyA Master, or Terileptil, Raston Robot, The Mara Demon, Omega, but no Daleks, we can wait for the next Dalek collectors set. I want some 80s Daleks already, the 70s ones are grey, but 80s are dark black and hav white frills on the eyestick. Sweet.

I got the Cyberleader off Ebay the other day, he looks well with the Earthshock cybermen slightly different from them I know but nonetheless looks fine. He has a hole under his foot for a stand as all the newer figures seem to have which worked out well as I also bought a bag of stands from Ebay too.

The daleks first started out as pepper pots ( now their not because the new colour daleks make them look tall) and the cybermen first were these cloth men! It’s weird how science fiction first started out!

if it wasnt FOR daleks or cybermen EITHER doctor who wouldnt exist or it would be boring as they would have no enemys to fight and no killing in it at all!!!!!

These are lovely – very nicely done indeed. As for ‘exclusives’ -THERE IS NO SUCH THING.Companies will brand things as EXCLUSIVE so WE,the fans, rush out there and then and buy products to make them money. Take a look around you now-the once exclusive Damaged Cyberman (exclusive to Comic Con a few years back) is now in the UK for £3.99 in B&M.The first, second, third, 5th Doctor with celery and seventh Doctors are now (albeit in different colours) are all now available.Shows that after a contract time, the UK will get the figures released…
