Cyberleader and Cyberman from ‘Silver Nemesis’ 2 Pack

Exclusive to Forbidden Planet! You can order this set Here while stocks last

The Seventh Doctor and Ace visit Windsor, England in 1988, where three factions – the Cybermen, a group of Neo-Nazis and a 17th Century time travelling sorceress named Lady Peinforte – are each attempting to capture a weapon made of a living metal, Validium, created as the ultimate defence for Gallifrey. The weapon is now in the form of a statue of Lady Peinforte and has three components that must be brought together in order to be activated.

In order to foil an earlier attempt to control it, the Doctor launched the weapon inside an asteroid, into a 25 year orbit over 300 years ago. The asteroid now crashes back to Earth near Windsor Castle. The Doctor plays the three rival groups off against one other until eventually he appears to surrender the statue to the Cybermen. However, this is just another carefully-laid trap by the Doctor and the Cybermen warships are totally wiped out when they attempt to control the weapon.

In this exclusive figure set we present the Cyber Leader and Cyberman each with a Cybergun from the 1988 story Silver Nemesis.

They look like re paints of the ‘Earthshock’ cyberman that they released earlier.

  9. Posted by: The Pandorica October 24th, 2010 Reply

This looks good. I’m waiting until it goes down to about £20 because it’s basically the same figure as the Earthshock Cyberman but with some fancy bits added on.

Major difference is that these are Silverry Cybermen, and the design+shape is much more exotic and sortof, artistic. The armour detailings and strange little pieces of steel, all much more visually enhancing to the Cybers than those first seen in Earthshock. And these ones always seemed alot taller. But I cant exactly get, or atleast open them, till Ive done first things first and got some atha Wave 2 Cybermen, need atleast four. Nice plan. :)

  13. Posted by: alex September 6th, 2010 Reply

why do they not make classic companions?

    • Posted by: jordan August 14th, 2011

      THEY DO!

  14. Posted by: McGann is the Doctor. September 4th, 2010 Reply

If they make any more “(insert number)-Doctor Adventure sets”, they should so make a Fifth Doctor, and from his era we would need the Cyberleader from Earthshock, and a Tegan of some sort, or Adric instead, because you wouldnt have a better oppurtunity to sell an Adric figure, perhaps the AnthonyA Master, or Terileptil, Raston Robot, The Mara Demon, Omega, but no Daleks, we can wait for the next Dalek collectors set. I want some 80s Daleks already, the 70s ones are grey, but 80s are dark black and hav white frills on the eyestick. Sweet.

    • Posted by: jordan May 22nd, 2011

YEAH, I WOULD IT IF DID A RASTON WARRIOR ROBOT
      AS A FIGURE!
      THAT WOULD BE AWSOME!

  17. Posted by: KORSAIR August 14th, 2010 Reply

I got the Cyberleader off Ebay the other day, he looks well with the Earthshock cybermen slightly different from them I know but nonetheless looks fine. He has a hole under his foot for a stand as all the newer figures seem to have which worked out well as I also bought a bag of stands from Ebay too.

  18. Posted by: drwhofan1 August 5th, 2010 Reply

Got these from FP in London today – they’re fantastic! A really nice addition to my Classics collection.

  19. Posted by: harry doolan July 29th, 2010 Reply

looks realy good but ive heard that the hand are very rubbery like the 10th
    doctors!

  20. Posted by: who crazy! July 26th, 2010 Reply

The daleks first started out as pepper pots ( now their not because the new colour daleks make them look tall) and the cybermen first were these cloth men! It’s weird how science fiction first started out!

  21. Posted by: the flaw games July 26th, 2010 Reply

if it wasnt FOR daleks or cybermen EITHER doctor who wouldnt exist or it would be boring as they would have no enemys to fight and no killing in it at all!!!!!

  22. Posted by: who crazy! July 25th, 2010 Reply

Without cybermen and daleks doctor who would be a miseray!

  23. Posted by: the flaw games July 25th, 2010 Reply

i really want to get this set but my dad says it is exactly the same as the earthshock cybermen  he must be blind

  24. Posted by: nesbitt412thdoctor July 24th, 2010 Reply

I know the sculpts are different but whats the point if u have earthshock one

  25. Posted by: Justininferno July 24th, 2010 Reply

These are lovely – very nicely done indeed. As for ‘exclusives’ -THERE IS NO SUCH THING.Companies will brand things as EXCLUSIVE so WE,the fans, rush out there and then and buy products to make them money. Take a look around you now-the once exclusive Damaged Cyberman (exclusive to Comic Con a few years back) is now in the UK for £3.99 in B&M.The first, second, third, 5th Doctor with celery and seventh Doctors are now (albeit in different colours) are all now available.Shows that after a contract time, the UK will get the figures released…

Ah dear, still no progress in getting these. But ya never know, when it is the Banks will actually be open, and it wont be a school day, and Ill get there before they close at 4:30, and Ill get me a Debt Card which will allow me to buy stuff of the internet. YAH BAY-BAY!!! :)

But until that miraculous day comes, its a bit of a wait…………..
The Silver Nemesis, out on DVD this August, getting it aswell as
Time and The Rani. There’s an example of Money being wisely spent.

  34. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor. May 13th, 2010 Reply

    WOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH……….

    Im still waiting.

I gotta say those guns theyre holding look great, when I get the Cybermen Double-pack I am going to have to either give the Revenge of the Cybermen to my cousin or throw it in the bin, I HATE that episode. And I hate the Cybermen in that episode. For me, the Cybermen never really came back after the Invasion until 1982. And yes, that means Carnival of Monsters doesnt count as a “Cybermen coming back” episode!

But I anticipate having lots of 80s Cyybermen, with such boundless excitement.

    • Posted by: jordan May 24th, 2011

COULDNT YOU JUST GIVE IT TO ME NOW?

  35. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor. May 13th, 2010 Reply

Nope. Still havent got this yet. But Keep trying! I will eventually get this set some time in the future. But for now, it seems I am yet to succeed. But never give up! LIsten to what Neil Diamond sometimes says: “Hang on TO THAT DREAM!!”

  36. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor May 9th, 2010 Reply

Hi there its me again, McGann is The Doctor. I still havent got this yet, but Im working on it and Ill keep you all informed of what progress I may make in my journey/quest to obtain this item of desire that I so very long for. I will get it you know! Eventually it will be mine.

  37. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor May 9th, 2010 Reply

Im still getting these you know. It may not be today and it may not be tommorow, but sooner or later, they will be mine, and all that seperates me from having them is time. And whenever I get them, I shall also have bought a little bit of a “Cyber Army”. Yes, the gloroius Cybermen of Character Options shall rise.

  38. Posted by: Dalek Sec May 7th, 2010 Reply

I just loved these cybermen as a kid! Now they make more detailed figures of them! I think that i might get one off e-bay (unless they come to australia). :)

  39. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor May 2nd, 2010 Reply

(Reads the previous dozen comments) Quite right, I was just thinking the same thing myself. With toy manufacturers, often they have to think of clever little ways to actually make a profit, and selling FP exclusives is by all means the way to do it, theyre double the price.

And it would also be correct to say that this set, of which I without a moments hesitation will be paying 25 QUID for, is now ON fp.com So I dont see why everyones so worked up about this sets possibley limited availability.

Forbidden Planet exclusives are never announced as being Exclusives to FP until they are released, remember the 7th Doctor Fiugres? People were all saying “Please let they not be exclusive to Forbidden Planet” and eventually they were advertised on the Forbidden Planet website, same thing just happened here.

The thing I dont agree with FPEXCs is how single figures, like the COA Sixth Doctor are £15 thats WAY too much! Make it £12, er… £10! And as for

  40. Posted by: booboo May 2nd, 2010 Reply

Its set to GMT now, he left it before as a lot of comments come from outside the UK so it didn’t seen to matter that much. We seem to get a lot of visitors from Australia here.

  42. Posted by: booboo May 2nd, 2010 Reply

I don’t know, i will find out. it may be lukes set it that way for a reason.

  43. Posted by: The Whofan101 May 2nd, 2010 Reply

@booboo why is there a time difference of 5 hours and 3 minutes for example I posted at 10.00 o’clock, but it says a different time why?

  44. Posted by: booboo May 2nd, 2010 Reply

I know a lot of people think there expensive but the problem is that without them a lot of figures might not see the light of day.

  45. Posted by: The Whofan101 May 2nd, 2010 Reply

Exclusives are good, for the manufactors to make more money to make more figures and for die hard collectors despite that this just look like the Earthshock cyberman

  46. Posted by: Last of the Timelords April 27th, 2010 Reply

Personally I think some sort of campaign should be set up against Forbidden Planet. Their prices are stupid amounts. We used to pay £8 a figure a couple of years ago, now it’s £15 a figure. Back in the day though, you would theoretically pay £16 for two figures. But then they decide that you should pay £25 instead. It’s daylight robbery and really should stop.

  47. Posted by: The Whofan101 April 26th, 2010 Reply

might buy this, if not the 7th or 1st doctors. But looks good!

  48. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor April 25th, 2010 Reply

Oh yeah! :) I literally just found out about this less than half a minute ago! See, this is why I like Money, it makes me happy how I get things with it. And I like other things ofcourse, there be more causes for joy than personal gainage and items of desire.

Like…….I would be happy to melt a minty aero chocolate bar in my mouth, or to help a tortoise across the road (gathered that it doesnt bite me), or to marvel at how nice my house looksafter a good honest half an hour of cleaning it, or to fell the relief of scrubbing the unpleasant liquid known as sweat off of my torso on the way to school during a summer morning.

I was thinking yesterday about the Earthshock Cybermen and possible future Cybermen action figures from CO. I always thought a Cyber-Leader from Earthshock should be in a Fifth Doctor adventure set, along with Adric (who no one would purchase otherwise) and the Ainley Master and a cricket bat and cricket Ball.

Infact while I was re-watching on eof my favourite Sixth Doctor episodes, (Colin is the Doctor aswell!) being Mark Of The Rani which is a great episode besides the dull setting and the vicious Luddites, I figured there should be an “Attack Of The Cybermen set” with Lytton (who was a memorable and effective character) because he is potentially a great recurring character for fan fictions, the
Cyber-controller (yet another!), Peri in that rather interesting costume and ofcourse (no Cryons please) the Sixth Doctor.
BUT THIS IS GREAT AND IM GETTING THIS EVEN IF IT IS AN FP EXCLUSIVE AND DOUBLE THE PRICE WITH NO GUARANTEE OF ARRIVING WITHIN HALF A YEARS TIME, BECAUSE I MUST HAVE IT!!!!!!

  49. Posted by: BooBoo April 24th, 2010 Reply

The article seems the refer that these aren’t SDCC exclusive, there is also talk of USA only but i cant see that. we should here from underground toys as to the exact position soon.

  50. Posted by: fat jedi April 24th, 2010 Reply

Drwhotoys.net are hinting that this is an SDCC exclusive, but having read the article I’m not too sure. After the demand for the Earthshock Cyberman , they’d be mad not to put this set on general release.

  51. Posted by: fat jedi April 24th, 2010 Reply

Hurry up FP and get these on preorder. Exactly the set I wanted.

    fabulous anyway

Silver Nemesis Cybermen and the DVD coming out as well, Brilliant

  55. Posted by: liam April 23rd, 2010 Reply
