Character Building Silent Time Machine

Whispers heard through a wall… The creaking in the house… The breathing under your bed… Beware The Silence!

Materialising their creepy and very advanced time machines in the most secret of places, they infiltrate worlds without anyone ever knowing it – standing in the shadows or hanging clustered from the ceiling like sleeping bats.

If you ever see one, don’t look away – they’ll edit themselves out of your memory so that you never remember them! All they want is to control your planet for their own villainous ends.

Silence will fall! Highly detailed and functional construction playset of the Silent Time Machine as seen in Doctor Who Series 6 Episode 1: The Impossible Astronaut.

Includes control room with control panels, control interface chair with connector cables & two Silent micro-figures. For ages 6 years and over.

Got this set. Saw outside packaging. Always saw two silents one normal other opened mouthed. All over the box. Both were normal. I was quite upset about this to be honest!

Did anyone get one with an open mouth? As I felt really let down!

Booboo please can you answer as if it was meant to come with the open mouth varient… I’m going to email Character

      August 14th, 2012 - 2:20pm

all sets come with 2 closed mouth silents although an open mouth is shown on the box – apart form the girl who waited none of the new sets actually come with what’s shown on the box

Thats false advertising isn’t it? I mean I really wanted the varient as it looked cool! And yeah I heard you get series 1 Amy with thise sets… Someone should say something don’t you think?
I might e-mail character and say something like ‘On the box of the Character Building Silent Time Machine it always depicts two silents. One closed mouth the other a varient with an open mouth. I got two closed mouth silents is this incorrect?’ and see what they sya in return.

worth asking but the open mouth was exclusive to Argos in their 5 pack so not sure what they can do

I ask anyway… worth a try! I dont know if they will send me one but just so they have been notified about these mistakes its all good!

This is a con when it comes to the minifigures. The playsets are great and everything but they could at least have a small print saying open mouth silent not included.

They were just promotional pictures. You can’t always believe what they say at the toy fair because you can’t guarantee that all the merchandise shown there will actually be released.

they should make a junk tardis set with the doctor with a phycic cube, idris and nephew ood. it would have features like the play set and cost around £20.

Yeah but it might not be popular. I think this because it was designed by some one else , so it would be like owning some else’s work.

Got my Silent Time machine set on Sat from Forbidden Planet £19.99, they had some of the older CB sets on special, so if you are hunting for a cheaper one or two CB sets, have a look in a forbidden planet store near you.

Hoping the new Argos catalogue out this weekend coming will have more than the 2 new Drwho CB sets

Also I hope the rumours are true about LEGO taking the licence over ( we live in hope )

I hope LEGO doesn’t get the licence. Character building has better detail on the minifigures.

just been building this. if i had a pound for every time this broke whilst i was building it, i would be about £50 richer. that would get me the dalek set AND 2 of the future mini sets. it says 6+ but that is the general character building rating. i would rate it 13+. has anyone else found this hard.

Hope the mini sets are out soon, booboo you should do a pic of this set with Amy in the chair thing with the wires, is the chair on that meant to be the chair I’m thinks of or a different one?

The mini sets could be out any day now, the rest of the new stuff is already out!
I think the ‘the girl who waited’ set should contain old Amy or Amy in the costume from that episode!
