Got this yesterday from Toy Barnhaus in Worthing. I only got it becaus eit was a gift for doing well in exams, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have bothered.
I mean, only 4 new figures? Admittedly the 3rd, 4th and 11th Doctors are great, but the 2nd isn’t anything to hunt down.

Disappointed that 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 11th are the only new variations. The others are all in the previous 11 drs set. Should have noticed the advertising photos. Still, i’m happy I got it

I think they mean without the trench coat.

Certainly isn’t impossible, but its just as likely to pop up at any point, regardless of wearing it in the 50th.

Just a totally random thought but what about Sherlock micro figures from character building? I reckon those would be cool plus if they do 3 series of figures then they would be based on three series of the show! C’mon don’t tell me you can’t imagine a cumber batch Sherlock figure and a moriarty. Would be cool! On topic the four that are not the carryovers are very good. It is correct that all of these figures appeared in name of the doctor apart from 10th and 4th due to slight accessory differences.

That would be cool. You can make your own SHERLOK mini figs. You need toms head and scarf, Pats body and Christopher’s legs. I just used rory fig for Watson.

  • Andrew I

    July 23rd, 2013 - 9:22pm

I was always quite annoyed about the concept of rare figures… It leans the range too overtly towards adult market with loads of money and ebay! I think everyone should be able to collect all the figures! Reading th suggestions for ‘super rare’ figures in these comments feels a bit weird, to me! Why suggest figures that you either won’t be able to find, or you have to pay hundreds of pounds for??

Character Building should focus on getting their products out to any distributors, across the UK – series 3 distribution was poor!

I must admit until now and coming on this site I hadn’t realised how popular these are and how much they go for on ebay. I must admit it does bring out the competitive nature in me but there is no way I could afford that on one figure.

Having 7B’s doctor be a super rare would be asinine of character.

This is how it should go:
      Common:

11th doctor in 7b costume with black or grey waistcoat perhaps they could make to so if you get the doctor you don’t know which costume you are going to get.

      Clara (bells of saint john)

      Cybermen (gaiman)

      ice warrior (cold war)

      Uncommon:

      Vastra

      Jenny

      strax (butler outfit)

      10th doctor (50th)

      rose (50th)

      Whisperman (notd)

      Rare:
      Doctor Hurt (notd and name)

      Doctor simeon (Notd)

I like the list above for the series 7 B figures, apart from the rares, the whispermen should be common, or better still, all common, like the doctors wave so we don’t have different rarities.

      Rare:
      Vigil
      Rose (50th)
      Zygon (50th)
      Strax (Battle armor, Without helmet)

      Super rare:
      Smiling angel
      Clara (JTTCOTT)
      John Hurt (50th)

It was hard to put JTTCOTT clara as a super rare as thats the one i would most like, but it would be hard to make and would look stunning, so thats why!!

Hurt wouldn’t be a super rare as being the biggest part of the 50th he may turn out to be one of the most significant characters in doctor who of this era.Fans will badly want him. The only superares we will get are variations of doctors or companions in different clothing. Personally the whole concept of a super rare is just fuel for the eBay sellers. Nothing wrong with rares like one or two in every box ala Madame kovarian but super rares are pointless. Just do it like the 50th 11 doctors bags with the same amount of each doctor in every box.

      Same. Eleven is great.
Others not so. Would have been good if they’d had Ten in brown coat like in 50th Anniversary packets.
