B&M Unboxing Video Set For Wednesday 24th July

From Evolution PR…

As many will recall from the recent press release this years B&M offerings will be unveiled via Character Options’ own You Tube channel.

The date currently set is Wednesday 24th July, time yet to be confirmed.

We will of course keep you updated on any additional information or changes as we get it.

Pictures of the 8th Doctor and Dalek set have already been released.

As usual and as soon as images are available there will be a separate page for each set and we will add the product codes (which in some cases differ this year) when stocks are on their way to stores. There will also be a general “stocks arrive” post to help visitors locate items.

From the press release…

Al Dewar, Creative Director at Character Options commented: “As you can imagine we’ve been keeping this inventive collaboration under wraps for a while so it’s fantastic to be able to release this first image of these unique additional sets to the B&M store range. As announced previously we plan to do a full unveiling live, which will take place ‘unboxing style’ on Character Options’ own You Tube channel in July; details of the time and date will be announced soon.”

I don’t suppose anyone would have the link for the official channel? I’ve been looking and found one for Character Toys, and I don’t know whether it’s the correct one
    Thanks again

I’m keeping fingers crossed for a “Genocide Machine” set, with dark jacket Sylvester and a Planet of the Daleks Supreme.

The last four sets all came into B&M stores in Belfast. I certainly picked up the TARDIS in the Connswater store – although, after phoning up every day to check if it had arrived yet, I was told several days in a row by someone who didn’t check that it hadn’t, only for me to find out several days later that it had been in for quite a few days and they were now down to the last box. Despite that poor service from the staff the Tom Baker and TARDIS definitely hit NI but probably got gobbled up quickly by the scalpers. The three three-packs of figures are all still in various Belfast stores and I’ve seen them in B&M in Bangor as recently as last week. I know that the Pertwee and TARDIS definitely arrived in the Lisburn store at the very least.

Well anonymous u really need to check ur facts because the Pertwee and TARDIS never appeared on the shelves in Lisburn b&m I live there and I was in everyday once it was released and it do not appear even the staff said they never seen it arrive in

Looks like The War Doctor won the recent Big Finish poll for next C/Options figure set with 54% over McCoy at 46% according to their Facebook page.

The question is will they reveal an image of it?

If this just includes a one story from a an already released Boxset and not much difference in the wearing of said Doctors and daleks, maybe its as well just to hunt down and pick up the Band M set after all. Only an hardcore collector or somebody after making a quick buck to sell to desperate hardcore collectors will get any novelty or benefit. If these are what i think, and with Big Finish branching out to include more sales of cds then people who buy monthly boxsets are going to own these cds twice. On the plus side we could get new variants of River Song, Newbies like Lucie, Tamsin, molly liv chenka,etc.. and more past doctors in different outfits and enemies repackaged.

How long will it take for the current B&M sets to be phased out? And can we expect the current sets to be sold at £4.99 like previous B&M sets when they needed to make way for new sets?

3 packs dropped from 16.99 to 12.00 and TARDIS sets now slashed to half price. who knows if further reductions will happen….

And yet people will rush out and buy a lot of these at full price. 4th Doctor and TARDIS at £ 10.99 a week ago All that fuss and panic. But Its not really until later that you realise which sets are more rare than others. The one i wasn,t able to get off the shelves was the 3rd doctor/TARDIS set which i still don,t have but it hasn,t bothered me since that mad rush. I don,t own one. Even though i could probably buy off EBay. The moment has gone now along with the excited, at the time adrenaline rush.

What sets were ever £4.99? The horrible Nine and Morlock Rose was still £16.99 at my branch until a couple of months ago and they had a ton of them.

they have sold sets in the past for that price, quite often the shelf price is not changed but they go through the checkout at the discount price

Price changes at B&M are generally universal

Big Finish might reveal the War Doctor/Dalek pack tomorrow – there’s a poll on their Facebook page that’s still up . . .
