July 1st, 2015 - 8:04pmI expect that the story acts as an origin story for the new series Sontarons, it does say above: “And on a distant planet, the Eighth Doctor stands his ground against a new legion of Sontarans. A legion ready for the Time War…” And if you remember, the tenth doctor claimed that the sontarons were not allowed to fight in the time war, therefore, this is technically a new series story with a classic story monster
