Warzone by Chris Chapman

At Warzone, competitors gather from across the galaxy to test the limits of their endurance and achieve their personal best. So, when the TARDIS materialises in the middle of a racetrack, the Doctor and his friends must literally run for their lives.

Conversion by Guy Adams

On the fringes of the galaxy, techno-pirates and research medics fight for the secrets of advanced extra-terrestrial technology. For the Doctor, however, a more personal battle awaits as he confronts his own guilt and the creatures that killed a friend: the Cybermen.

I saw this picture and all I could hear was…

“When did you last have the pleasure of smelling a flower, watching a sunset, eating a well prepared meal?!”

It’s the last bit imagining the Cybermen eating dinner around a table just cracks me up.

Is this (chronologically) the first cyberman story after earthshock, saying as Adric ain’t there, but Tegan and Nyssa are, along with new companion Marc…?

      No!! It goes:
      Earthshock
      – (no continuity gap)
      Time-Flight (Tegan leaves)
      – 5th Doctor/Nyssa stories
      Arc of Infinity (Tegan returns)
      – 5th Doctor/Nyssa/Tegan stories

It might be the first Cyberman story after Earthshock for Tegan but the audio ‘Spare Parts’ comes first for the Doctor and Nyssa.

Big finish know their continuity so I doubt they ignore spare parts, especially as it’s one of their top stories that fans love.

I personally suspect that this is more a story that is the first time the doctor has met the “David banks cyberleader” since earthshock rather then the cybermen. The spare parts cybermen are early days and not responsible for adrics death.

An hour-long Cyberman story? Cautious about this one.

So the Cybermen are in Warzone too? The plot synopsis didn’t sound like it but it’s nice to know that now. Not as cautious anymore

      What’s wrong with a one-hour Cybermen story?
