Action Figures: The 7th Doctor

timerani7thThe 7th Doctor from Time and the Rani

Due for release on 13th December 2010.

Mercurial and highly moral, this Doctor would often despair at the cruelty and wastefulness he encountered across the galaxies.

On a trip to America in 1999, he was accidentally gunned down by a street gang and taken to hospital, where the procedures taken to try and save him did the reverse and he seemingly died, only to regenerate within the hospital’s morgue…

In this exclusive set we present the Seventh Doctor action figure in the costume first seen in ‘Time and the Rani’ with hat, cream jacket and umbrella accessory.

i don’t know if anyone else has had this problem, but on the back of the packaging it says the costume was first seen in the mark of the rani.

i don’t know if its just mine or every body has the the same problem, but its obviously a production error.
    please reply,i need to know!

DWMagazine issue 431, page 55. JUST LOOK AT THAT IMAGE OF THE SYLVESTER MCCOY DOCTOR, HIS COSTUME LOOKS WAY DIFFERENT FROM THIS ONE.

The story is the Paradise Towers, which was (i believe) Sylvesters first time acting as the Doctor. The scarf he wears around that jacket, it looks different. CO should definately make a set with a done-up 7th Doctor from his first season, with the companion MELaine Bush. Check it out man, and he has that umbrella, a wooden one though! 😉

-WOW speak of the devils! I was just about to tell you all, I had a similar thought! From watching the stories, I can tell the brown jacket version has an accurate scarf pattern/colour/style but the hat-band is supposed to be brown, to go WITH the jacket! The red scarf you see, o nthe cream one, was never there! It doesnt seem to exist! 😕 Well, maybe it did for just that one story, but usually he wore the scarf seen in the brown-jacket set so this figure is IN-ACC-UR-ATE.

With the single release, surely could they not have done this?

Howdy-Hoe, I’macomen back! I really am ashamed for CO when they made this, its bad enough that theres not one single difference from the Dalek set, but the couldnt even tweak some of the colours on his scarf and all, then it would havent have been a waste of time.

Or, if they still wanted to do the cheapy cheap option of not bothering, atleast label the figure accurately. This is not what the Doctor wore in the episode TIME AND THE RANI you know !! He never even got the umbrella until his 3rd story, so this is before the umbrella! 😯
