Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Deluxe Framed Print 1st Doctor (Limited Edition)

William Hartnell breathed life into Doctor Who in 1963 playing the eponymous and cantankerous hero in the first episode “An Unearthly Child”.

The story followed two London school teachers investigating an unusual pupil who seemingly lived with her grandfather in an old police box in a junkyard…

I had not thought of that. Nor had I seen the 50 editions bit (sorry). I suppose that does make it worth a bit more.

Having said that, I have seen things with 100 editions priced at £15 not selling out.

If it were a box set of figures, it would be an instant sell out. But it seems other things, more conducive to limited editions (artwork-related) don’t – bizarre.

Absolutely great “print” but £50 is a bit steep, and where on earth are all these prints going to go.

I think £20 for an unframed one and £30 with optional frame or similar is more appropriate.

I bought the HMV prints, but there was no point in paying £10 more for a useless frame.

If they must be £50, then they shouldn’t cheat with the sub-frame like they do with the current ones. The idea is you have a picture and a cardboard frontispiece holding it in place and “framing it”. But so far they have printed that effect which is really bad.
