I think it’s because its a ball joint, which makes the arms bulk up a bit due to the extra articulation.

I wasn’t interested in this at first, but the £9.99 price tag makes it very appealing indeed. It’s amazing what a difference bicep and wrist swivels can do to improve the Tenth Doctor figure. I am loving the new headsculpt too.

Now if only they’d upscale the 3.75″ Tenth Doctor figure! Swappable arms and a removable coat piece would make it perfect; especially if offered in both brown and blue.

its a strange situation, they were definitely saying mid spring (ie May) at the toys fair but FP dates seem very specific and they have both been given the same

      January 30th, 2017 - 4:40pm

Hopefully FP (International anyway) stick to their word and this gets released tomorrow, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case though. It’s a bit strange though that this is due tomorrow according to International yet on FP.com it’s not due until 28th February.

i get the impression that all of the figures would have followed the same system as before ie One every few weeks as a FP exclusive in the UK

It possible the 10th doctor was already on its way to them when things clearly changed

Cancel your order over the phone. Then go back on the site and re-order it. I have just done that…I also added the 2 12th Doctor variants to the order. If you order all 3 figures the P&P is about £2 cheaper on FPI verses FP.com

18 point? I’m counting 14. Even if you count both shoulders as two separate pieces of articulation it’s still only 16.

      I’m seeing 18?

    • Omega63

      January 23rd, 2017 - 6:08pm

      1 Head
      2 Shoulder (Maybe 4)
      2 Bicep
      2 Elbow
      2 Wrist
      1 Waist
      2 Pelvis (Maybe 4)
      2 Knee

So possibly, but if so then 12 has 20 in that principle.

      January 22nd, 2017 - 4:37am

They were just giving episode examples, not ALL the episodes Ten wore the suit in.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      January 22nd, 2017 - 10:06am

Yes but Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel is a two-parter, if they’re going to give examples then at least give correct ones. Then again Character did get the information wrong on some of the figures from the Thirteen Doctors set so it doesn’t surprise me.

    • booboo

      January 22nd, 2017 - 1:16pm

to be honest its down to the fans to scrutinise every episode this may have been in.

from a PR point of view its sensible to mention just a couple of episodes that would immediately ring bells with Jo Public

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      January 22nd, 2017 - 10:08am

Also UT’s USA Twitter page did say that the figure was from The End of Time until people corrected them.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      January 22nd, 2017 - 1:01pm

Actually it was UT’s Instagram page not Twitter, now I’m getting my facts wrong.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      January 22nd, 2017 - 1:41pm

It’s the same story as what happened with the Holographic Tenth Doctor, some people thought it was from Blink and others thought it was from Doomsday. It is debatable because I don’t think it actually specifys which episode this figure is supposed to be from but the obvious choice would be Voyage of the Damned.

    It’s just a shame that:
    A. It’s not a standard outfit 10th Doctor with the updated articulation
    And
    B. It looks nothing like David Tennant.

Though I do hope people across the world do get these figures eventually, because the more people who buy, the more money they get, the more chance of new figures being made!

I have seen that someone has posted a picture of an in-hand image of this figure on the Doctor Who Toys Net forum and it includes a new mould closed Sonic Screwdriver, not the one seen in the prototype image. The packaging doesn’t look any different from last year’s wave though but it looks like a nice figure.
