I write in response to your recent e mail requesting information on the release of our Dr Who Twelfth Doctor Figure.

seriously concerned about the amount of advertising and offers going on for stuff that you just cant buy at the moment
people seeing this add may be dashing to Argos to buy some on these items and they just dont have them (and have not had them)
also offers going on with one retailer with no stock available for the offer

I know BBC America put a lot of money into the show and it’s quite big now in the US, but come on CO and BBC! They should really start getting tons of stock, christmas is coming!

I get that the touch control one has a bigger advertisement potential (because it’s a new gimmick and not just “hey we finally fixed the thing that shouldn’t be broken the first time, almost five years ago) but it also has an ugly battery compartment too.

I know they have other products to show off, however, this figure has been built up so much and many Whovians have been eagerly waiting for it and all it gets a few blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. This advert was basically the Godzilla of adverts for toys.

September 23rd, 2014 - 9:32amI have just ordered some from hamleys in Glasgow just be careful they send you the right 12th doctor as they have the regenerated 12th doctor figure and there was a bit of confusion about the one I wanted. hopefully when they arrive they are the right ones.

Argos have had no restocks since catalogue launch, toys r us have none of wave 3 on their website, nor do Character and many others

She said that Manchester still have about 60 12th Dr figures left over from Saturdays event and they still have some posters! Postage is £4.95.
I told her I comment on a Dr Who website and she asked me to give out the Manchester direct phone no. 020 747 83671.

September 22nd, 2014 - 9:20pmI couldn’t agree with you more. It’s just plain laziness from the get go. What they could’ve done was take the coat from the Series 7B figure and put it on the 11th Doctor figure in his tweed jacket and paint it green. I made a 5 inch custom 11th Doctor in a green coat and that just took me less then an hour and all I did was take the 10th Doctor’s coat, trimmed it down, took off the 11th Doctor’s tweed jacket and placed it on the 11th Doctor before I painted it green. It’s isn’t that difficult, Character!

I actually thought that it was kind of lazy for them to start the whole 3.75 inch range in the first place. They said that it was so that the Doctor Who figures would be compatible with other figures, but I think it was really just a way of cutting costs.

this is a basic toy line now that is outselling the last 5″ figures by a mile, they have also made huge inroads into the USA market because of it
5″ collectors still have their exclusive lines

Although i think its a bit silly to advertise figures such as 12, 11 and Gold Dalek if they aren’t actually out yet (execpt Hamleys). Surely they can’t say ‘Available at Argos’ if it actually isn’t yet?
I would have thought they would wait till they are ALL out…

they also dont have the touch control sonic or the new blue’r Tardis for that matter either
(and they still have the picture of the 12th with red lining which they know they are not getting showing in their catalogue)

September 22nd, 2014 - 3:56pmIt’s odd how this wave has come about, a few came out straight away, 12 took until now to come out and apart from this and the Hamley’s poster, they’ve hardly even said anything about the gold Dalek and 11 in green.
I also think they should lay off the Daleks next wave, if you include the patrol ship as a Dalek, we’ve had 5.
